Yeah its really easy process, I wanted to give the iPhone 6 a try but like Android more so I used it for 14 days and returned it. Just keep it in good condition.

With the latest update, my battery on the 6 seems to be draining faster. I updated OTA, anyone else had a similar problem?

I've noticed this too. I also did it OTA.

I also use the official Twitter app on mine and notice this uses a lot of battery life; does anyone have any alternatives that might not kill the battery as much? Can't help but think the official Twitter app is a battery hog.

Tweetbot is far and away the best Twitter client for the iPhone.

Has anyone run into the bug where accessing the camera from the lockscreen results in an instant black screen?

My iPhone 5 is getting a little busted, so I was tempted to pull the trigger the 64GB iPhone 6, but the current contract prices seem high.

In the end, dropped my contract with 3 to sim only for £15 a month, now just need to buy the phone outright... much cheaper this way.

I've got a knackered 4s I've had since September 2012 that's starting to suffer battery issues, so I find myself contemplating getting an iPhone 6. However, for the 64GB model, you're talking roughly £50 or so a month over two years if you want no upfront cost, so that's £1200 or more, twice what the phone costs. I can get £55 trade in on my old 4s at an Apple Store, bringing the cost down to £564.

I'd rather do that, then go for a SIM-only contract.

Get it on Giffgaff, £200 upfront and it's not much for the 128GB over the 64gb and you can then go with a sim only contract.

The lock/power button broke last week.

I've only had it three months but I backed up the phone, booked a Genius appointment and they replaced it instantly for an actual brand new phone (not a refurb).

Very happy and don't see it as a quality issue. I still stand by my view of Apple being a company who cater to the premium product market. There are enough folks who have the money to pay for a premium product and are happy to buy a new product every year or two and there's nothing wrong with accommodating that market.

Problems arise when people outside of that market buy a second hand "premium" product and it doesn't live up to the expectation because it's not designed for that market.

Not that I view myself as a member of the premium market, I just sell mine off every year so barely make a loss in the long run.

Is anyone experiencing the "No Internet Connection" error which occurs when connected to WiFi?

How about notifications that keep the screen active? I''ll get a text/email/IM and the screen activates to display the mesage but never turns off, even though I've set the screen to turn off after 1 minute.

Only issue I have these days is my signal can go complete and won't return until I restart, luckily most of the times its happened I've had WiFi so I still get messages from friends/gf letting me know my phone is going to voicemail.

How do you guys go about insuring your iPhones?

I'm thinking of swapping my Lloyds current account for a Santander 123, but will loose the mobile phone cover that Lloyds provide (with iPhone excess of £100). Is my best bet going with Applecare+ for 2 years for £79 (with excess £55)?

I went with Applecare+, the £55 excess seems very reasonable.

I've had my 6 since the beginning of November and it's the first phone I've not put a screen protector on (have a put an Apple leather case on, which protects the back). However there have recently been there too many occasions where I've ended up putting keys in the same pocket as the phone. So before I end up scratching the screen I've bought some screen protectors.

I suppose the reason for my uber interesting post :p is the screen of the 6 more resilient than the previous models?

Less so in my experience. I've been careful with mine and its got more fine scratches than the iPhone 4 did after a couple of years. That said I've never broken or taken a serious dink out of a phone screen.

I've finally buckled and ordered a glass screen protector for mine, after years of calling people out for buying overpriced sticky back plastic.

Honestly a good tempared glass protector is awesome, it feels just as good as the normal screen glass. I'm looking for one that curves properly into the display thou.

Should I pick up an iPhone 6?

I'm currently running an iPhone 6 mate, still Android > iOS for me but the hardware is just better then everything else out currently. I have my eyes on the M9 but I hope its size is closer to the Nexus 5 then the M8.
