Strange that. I got the UR from last weeks NF and a friend got Hardlight. It'll happen dude. Just like my Gally drop ;)

Thats actually 10 chances. 2 x nightfall, 4 x VOG (Chest/Atheon) and 4 x CE (Deathsinger/Crota)

Hawkmoon and Gjallarhorn are still eluding me though! Mythoclast drops all the time now after I finally got it a few weeks ago

I don't think Bungie are picking the items each week but conversly I do not think it is quite as random as suggested i.e. not all exotics are in the list or they are weighted.

I agree it is funny reading some of the comments of Xur wont sell Icebreaker of Gjallahorn as he then sold icebreaker the other week :D

No doubt in my mind that the drop rates are weighted such that the DLC items are more likely to sell than the vanilla ones.

Just like the gjallarhorn is weighted to drop really low while others (ie sunbreakers) seem to be weighted to drop really high
 
Funny how no one complains about Hard Light or Thunderlord never rolling for Xur....

With a sample size of 21 there is simply no way anyone with even the vaguest knowledge of statistics could say *anything* about the drop rates with a straight face.

Me too, I watch people get it all the time yet it never drops for me. Xur needs to procure some stock and sell it already!

I want him to show up with Hard Light! its the one weapon I want yet never get.

I think with drops it's entirely random, with no weighting on anything. All down to luck of the draw! everyone saying Gjallahorn, Ice Breaker and such is a rare drop, but they'll be people with loads of them and get them all the time so it becomes annoying getting it, like some people get loads of Hard Lights (damn them). I've had about 6 Suros Regimes, maybe 7 as I lose count but Rob75 from here has yet to receive one. All random.

I'm just happy with my three G'horns that dropped within one week. :p
 
I would be very happy with HoC for the time being to be honest. I can't complain as I only started just after Xmas. I feel sorry for the guys who have been playing since before the expansion and are still waiting for it to drop!
 
I've got 3 HoC's. Think it (and 2 ice breakers) might be one of the few weapons where i upgrade all of them if I have the time to avoid the need to change weapons all the time.

Most strikes/raids etc. HoC is fine and you don't really need another launcher (apart from nightfall/weekly if non solar).
I could also do with another 1-2 black hammers. That way I think I could just allocate a scout rifle and a hand cannon to each as primary and not need to swap weapons as much.

I wish you could just access the vault from orbit or the phone app as it would be much quicker to swap weapons.
 
Do HoC/Black hammer actually drop at all on hard?
Or is it just less likely as they drop on beating crota and as the primaries now drop on hard (so you are more likely to get HoC or black hammer on normal?)
