Aperture Build

As the 500R doesn't have a window then you could go for some slightly cheaper Ram. You probably won't see much of the LED's on the Avexir as you only have a 'mesh' grille on the side panel.

Agreed mate, i just seen the post Gibbo posted on cheap RAM and was going to pick some up.

WHat is on the UD5H that you need when compared to the UD3H BK board in the bundle?

If you read the FAQ on the rules about the Black Edition card. when you trade the mobo in for the new one. it has to be of the same value or pay to upgrade to the better one. so by picking the cheaper one now. would mean perhaps adding more money in the long run. so i went for the mid range board.

There is some logic to that I suppose.

Agggh im like a kid at Christmas.

got the security info for the new credit card and all set to go, but no actual credit card in the post yet. This is torture, cant do anything without the card number.

once i get it il have a further proof read over the build and get it ordered this week. looking forward to building it up and getting all the boxes delivered into work. hopefully they all fit in the car.

what way does it work for items that are on pre-order, example the new logitech gaming keyboard ?

Ask customer services about items on pre-order, but you can either pay now and wait for everything to be instoc to then be sent, or have the items on pre-order sent after.

P.S some items are now better deals than others, this PSU for example - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-013-EA - still made by Superflower but with a huge 10yr warranty.

Cheers Stulid, i was actually leaning towards that EVGA one as it has the zero fan spin unless needed i think. Plus EVGA branded + 10 years Damm thats perfect.

Well can i please get a review of this final build.
some last minute Checks before pulling the trigger on this tonight.

  • Changed out the 16gb RAM from 2400Mhz to some 2666Mhz
  • Changed the 4K monitor to a ROG Swift, 27" G-Sync 144Hz 2560x1440
  • Changed the PSU to the better EVGA one, packed with 10yr warranty

  • Price V Performace: on the KFA2 980 - Core Clock: 1228MHz, Boost Clock: 1329MHz

Was trying to find the guide on the best Thermal Paste but cant find it.
Whats the best out right now ?

yea im gona hang back on the Corsair as the 110 is out of stock. plan on using the stock cooler temporarily until the New Hydros H110i come into stock.

That rams good and all, but wouldn't the little bit extra 2666 mhz be better ?
but then i guess if i was selling it in 3 years, when i get the updated mobo from gigabyte perhaps someone else would believe in the name Kingston.

Never hurts to ask but is there by any chance a voucher code i could use maybe PM me it ?

cheeky i know ;)

Just noticed there's no PM on the forums. tried to place order and was refused anyway  looks like i will need to call the bank to approve it as its probably being flagged as "unusual purchase"

Damm and theres me hoping i would have it for the weekend.

Awesome i got the card cleared this morning by the bank, just gota wait 20mins or so.

I also noticed the cpu is on offer today. :) nice wee £22 saving.
