Warning daffodils are flowers and not food

I saw a cactus a while ago with a sticker on the bottom which said "this plant is not for consumption".

I wanted to remove it and revel in the ensuing chaos but I thought I'd probably walk past it ten seconds later and eat it.

What kind of pseudonarcissus daffness is this?

someone is one bulb short of a chandelier

come the end of spring they need tying up and beheading

This stems from poor education.

I heard this on the radio on the way home. Doing 70 I was tempted to end it as I just don't want to live in a world where this is legit :D.

No joke here but as far as I know every potted plant that Morrisons sells has 'outdoor plants are not for human consumption' on it.

Not sure what this could mean for the indoor ones....

Reminds me of...

Packet of peanuts: warning, this contains nuts.
Cup of coffee or hot tap: warning, hot water.

Like, no ****, Sherlock!

Peanuts aren't really nuts. A warning that a packet of peanuts may contain nuts isn't entirely silly.

A warning about daffodils is silly, though.

Perhaps warnings should also be used the other way. Don't send potatoes on Valentine's day - they're not flowers!

Public Health England warned the flowers could be confused with onions or Chinese vegetables
My girlfriend not very happy as I send her a big bunch of onions which I thought were daffodils.............:p

:D

I was in Tesco today and when going up the escalator it had a stupidly loud warning playing out reminding people they had to push their trolley when leaving the escalator....

Not quite as bad I know but I still thought it was stupid :(

I blame Thatcher, (Well everybody else does!)

(Mind, in this case there might actually be some justification)

We used to have asylums for stupid people!

Now we have care in the community!

This is where we are today!

Can someone update me on Tulips please. I have some here and want to know ASAP before i eat them ?
