Yeah I know it got a bit silly, to be fair about 5 of them were an ESX /vsphere set up lab I was using when doing a VCP course /revision. A few of them are laptops and most rooms in my house have a pc/mac connected to a tv to stream stuff from the media pc downstairs. Then there's my Main Gaming Pc and my wife's PC in the computer room. Plus a bunch of old unused PCs that I put in the loft. They all add up pretty quickly and to be fair after I counted them all up I was pretty surprised :O

Jesus! We've got two gaming PC's, 3 laptops and then ipads/android tabs.
I like to keep it as little as possible because i end up having to fix them all when they go wrong, which is alright when it's mine but not when it's someone else's!

You must have a huge house to have all that!

Not a particularly big house just a standard 3 Bed semi, but I am good at hiding / masking all my PCs to make it look like there's less :) plus my wife never goes into the loft!

On a side note, out of interest, what was the initial thing you posted in this thread that I have successfully hi-jacked?

I was giving away a case but realized i wasn't allowed. Then got into the conversation of used parts and MM :)
 
That was very decent of you! I could probably do with getting rid of a lot of my stuff that doesn't get used any more, but I'm CBA with messing around putting it on ebay after some bad experiences selling a laptop. For instance I've got a Q6600, Asus P5Q Deluxe and 8GB of OCZ platinum 1066MHz that's just sitting in an antistatic bag after I upgraded to my i7. Seems a shame to just have it doing nothing!

Yeah that's what me and Little*Freak were talking about last night, the hassle of eBay and all that.

Jump on the 'Donate it to Sam' bandwagon with Little Freak. I'm just kidding haha

I'd love to know more people local that would buy stuff like that, but everyone i know is stupid and think that consoles are better than PC's.

Hi, yeah i'm in the same boat, i only need 1 PC but have the parts for about 4.

I don't think i'm going to get a favourable answer to a question i just asked and i need to get rid of some of the clutter. I suppose that means a skip :(

Not for my current system & the 770! That'll either go to a good home or back into it's various box's. I did think about a media PC but honestly i barely watch anything these days.......i'd rather play online instead.

i5 4690k
Gigabyte Z97 G1 Sniper
MSI 290X LE
8gb gskill ram
EVGA 750w G2 psu

Leaving an old Q6600, p5k, 4gb xms2, 620w corsair hx etc.. to hold onto aswell. Yeah ebay looks a bit hit and miss and potential hastle and time, so MM would be the only other place really.

It will be years for me probably also ;)
 
Gotta say too, OCUK customer support was second to none.

I had coilwhine in the psu, and they swapped it within a week. The next one unfortunately had hissing too, and it was refunded fast no problem. Ended up getting a bequiet psu from somewhere else only because they didn't sell it here.

You could always do a job lot on fleabay? Stick it all in a box and send it off.

Oh yeah, its easy to get stable with it. I had 4.6ghz with 1.25vcore, but went back to 4.5ghz with 1.22v now as I didn't notice any performance gain at all. On an auto offset of 0.02v though.
I put c-states back on once stress tested, and next to no performance loss. Though I see a lot of people turn all the throttling off

Sweet, i've got mine at 4.6 and 1.25V and stable. I want to go further but cooling says otherwise at the moment :(

I have no idea if it still works, it should but you never know.
