****The Nintendo 3DS Thread****

So happy with the normal New 3DS version, i used to own an XL and i wasn't happy with the plasticy feel of the console, but the build quality of this feels good.

Cant wait to get MM 2moro, will be my first time playing it. :cool:

I initially was doing the same thing but BigJap had a great deal on with voucher code, bonus points and cashback, so I'll have my normal edition black n3DS and MM for about £140. If I chop in my 3DS ASAP, I'll have paid about £60 upgrade cost assuming £35 for the game.
 
I'm really struggling to decide between the new 3DS and the new 3DS XL, like the idea of the larger screen but being the same resolution but just physically wider concerns me the image won't be as crisp, what are your experiences/thoughts on this?

The other part making this difficult is that I really love the look of the white one with SNES coloured buttons.
 
Picking up my 3ds xl from game at 8.00 in the morning, getting MM with it & will be purchasing the download versions of Monster Hunter & Smash Bros with the credit I get back from trading in my old 3ds xl after I have done the system transfer in the morning.

Going to use the pc transfer method as I have 14 gig of stuff on my existing SD card & will be putting a new 32GB micro sd into the new handheld.

It's entirely a personal preference. Personally I prefered the larger screen, a few jaggies don't bother me one bit.
 
Like Merlin says, I have the 3DS original, my brother has the XL. When discussing the systems with me, he has conceded that the picture isn't as good/not as sharp due to the low resolution, and has agreed the slightly larger screen size of the N3DS standard version might be quite an optimal balance.

It's up to whether you want a larger screen over sharpness really :)

I have the white one on preorder with the SNES style buttons which I'll be going to collect tomorrow on my lunch from work (hooray for 1 hr lunch!)

Quite looking forward to seeing if there will be any in-store offers tomorrow beyond the slightly higher trade-in for the older 3DS.
Just a shame no where takes the Nyko battery pack for anything these days. Whomever buys my old 3DS will get a nice little bonus!

Ahah. Just discovered my local game is opening for midnight. MUCH easier than going on my lunch tomorrow so know where I will be tonight lol hopefully they're doing some games offers too!

Want Pokemon X/Y if they can't beat their own online offer on Majora's Mask!
