****The Nintendo 3DS Thread****

Has anyone got the new model 3DS XL?

If so, does your 3ds' top screen move side-to-side slightly? Mine does - I can see a tiny gap in the hinge which allows it to move. It is quite concerning.

Ordered mine from the rainforest and I'm wondering whether to return it or not.

Went to town, stopped by GAME, PC World and Tesco Express, none had the Official Nintendo Charger !

Argos is out of stock too.

Ordered online, hope it turns up on Wednesday... didn't want to pay £5 next day shipping, might as well get a GAME knock off for that much....
 
Going into town in a bit to pick mine up. Wasn't going to bother seeing as I've not touched my 3DS in about 6 months, but with the trade in offer, £20 on my game card and a £20 voucher I got in my Secret Santa, it's costing me next to nothing.

Will finally get round to completing Pokemon Y...maybe :p
 
I got a n3ds standard in white. Got to say I really do love the console, I had an "old" 3DS XL but after seeing both in store I decided to go for the standard. Personally I prefered the white SNES look :p Also in my opinion I feel the smaller scale of the console more preferable when carrying around and playing on trains etc. The screen on my 3DS has no play in it at all and is quite solid. Overally the n3ds white looks and feels beautiful and well worth the "upgrade" to me.

The 3D is a hell of a lot better, very stable and actually enjoyable to use. I've been playing Monster Hunter 4 quite a bit and the new C stick is really really useful for it. Monster Hunter 4 is freaking awesome !
 
Gone to register my consoles on Nintendo Club before it shuts. Nothing on there but complete junk! Ringtones, Wallpaper and Nintendo Shop points for the original DS and Wii which are none transferable to the Eshop?!?!? Yet the US get download codes for full games.

Not worth filling out that silly survey multiple times for.

How do you register your new3ds on your club Nintendo account. I just logged on their website and I cant find it anywhere grr
 
New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL

These new handheld systems, which will be released on February 13th 2015, are not registerable in Club Nintendo. However, hardware bundles will still include a product registration card for the included software until April 1st 2015, so software bundled with hardware can still be registered until September 30th 2015.
 
Still waiting on UPS. Worst courier for me. They make up random excuses not to bother delivering.

They ALL have play in them - it's built in, exactly as you describe.

Nintendo sent me 2 of them in a separate delivery.

Edit: People need to chill about the n3DS XL having a small amount of play in the screen. It's designed like that to prevent the issues some 3DS XL's had.

Apparently the n3DS has less play as there is less weight from the top screen due to less material and a lighter 3D system with less depth which results in less stress on the hinge.

I waited to lunch and it didn't came, went out searching for one in town and none anywhere and on the way back I ordered it on the phone.

About 5 mins past 2 it came in a separate package! I tried to cancel the order but it was too late! Looks like I'll have 2 chargers...there really is no point spending money sending it back for a few quid. Will leave one at work I guess!
 
Contacted Nintendo last Thursday when i got my New 3DS, explained to them the issue with my NNID being locked to my old 3DS which i don't own no more, but still use the same NNID with my Wii U.

Today they untied my NNID from my old 3DS, and now i have all access to all the eshop games i purchased! I thought it would take longer than this, getting it sorted within a few days had me surprised.

Now i can start using the eshop and look around for cheaper eshop games. :)

Also no charger with my order either
And inside was a leaflet which said free 12 month warranty, thought it was 2 years?
