BlueTooth Adapter for PS3 pad with BetterDS3

I use some cheap ass Bluetooth adapter with my PS4 pad, had it lying around for a few years so would imagine any new one would work.

There are recommended ones on the Motionjoy forums (which is where you'll get this kind of info rather than the BetterDS3 site).

Personally I found that BT wasn't reliable enough to use in twitchy games. In Jamestown for instance, there's a noticeable slight lag which is enough to get you killed at times (playing multiplayer Judgement difficulty - you may not notice in lower difficulties). The odd disconnection is annoying too.

Finally the MotionJoy BT drivers are a bit dodgy and can sometimes cause BSODs.

Just wanting to play odd up coming car games on my TV but my TV is other side room so Bluetooth would be great. Could use xbox pad but am not used to the feel it's not good after using playstation for years..

I might just take a gamble on one the rain forest adapters.

Surely bluetooth is bluetooth

(subject to better bandwidth on newer renditions, but can't imagine a PS3 pad benefits from such)

A £1 adaptor from Poundland should do it

Not true. There are tons of standards and technologies that make up BT and some adaptors don't support the ones required by Motionjoy. On top of that it needs to be an adaptor that runs a chipset that Motionjoy supports.

Use the scp Driver package, you can use any bluetooth adapter with it.
So much better than motionjoy and betterDS3

That's really interesting. Thanks for the link. I will give this a try instead of the annoyance of Motionjoy.

Nar it has to be a set Bluetooth version and then the driver compatible with better ds3 or motioninjoy.

I just tried out the SCP Driver and it already seems like a massive improvement over Motionjoy. For starters, it works with my Asus BT400 dongle :)

That's great news that was the adapter I was looking at on rain forest.
Thanks

To save you a bit of time searching/etc, here's the guide to get the drivers to load with that dongle:

One quick warning though - I've not done any thorough testing yet. I take no responsibility if it ends up being unreliable :p

Even that guide is a little long winded, last time i installed it I just ran the SCP driver application and forced install the driver, and that was it.

I'm a bit paranoid about doing that after Motionjoy installed it's own drivers over my wireless (non-BT) keyboard and mouse on my media server. It was very annoying getting everything back in order.
