I have fitted a top mounted 40mm thick rad and 25mm thick fans in the top of my Prodigy. With my GPU block in place I am going to struggle plumbing it in..

As you can see from the pictures its a very tight fit. What would be the best solution to this problem?

I'm thinking I will have to put the 240mm rad up front and change my D5 pump to something smaller, so it will fit between the front rad and motherboard tray.

Have a look at angled rotary fittings. If you can measure the gap you have available I can measure the size of an alphacool rotary.

The gap between the inlet/outlet and the side panel is about 25mm. would have been 28mm but I have a 3mm thick window inside the panel.

I measure the rotary barb and it is about 26mm w/o the threads. So it will be a tight fit but it should be alright.

How is the spacing between block and rad?

About 16mm between the block and the rad.

I'm actually thinking of mounting the rad on top of the case.. I think that way, it would also let me add a 30mm thick rad upfront as well if I need it.

I have a feeling that people have done that before and it did work. There are plently of prodigy build WC build logs about, though not sure how many did it with a D5 pump.

The D5 pump and res I ordered (not from OCUK as they were out of stock) arrived damaged, scratch marks on the res tube and a chunk out the top cap. So I will be sending that back. I may have a look at a smaller solution, so I can fit the rad at the front without it being to squashed.

The only thing with non rotary, is knowing my luck the connector will be pointing the completely wrong way.

So, I've tried mounting the fans on top. If all goes well, and my temps are fine, I will tidy up the tap panel to improve the look.
