D3D12 articles - so much misunderstandings and miscommunications

Controller is clunky for ARR, Bro has on PS4 and I have on PC.
New expansion out soon ;)

I got on with the controller pretty easy in most circumstances. Where it was a pain in the neck was in really busy situations where changing between targets was really slow. You can use mouse and Keyboard on the Ps4 if you wish to do so so not all bad. There was a free demo on Ps4 so wanted to try before i bought it and ended keeping the character. Will probably end up spending 20 more bucks on getting it for the pc.

New Mortal Kombat x due April I'll be buying that on PC but using PS4 controller, bluetooth connected to TV..

Another gaming genre that a controller of some sort is a must.

You just said that a gamer enjoys "all" games, as though only playing PC games is in some way derogatory or inferior. By your own definition either youre an avid barbie dream party gamer or your not a gamer at all. Or, gamers are free to play and enjoy whatever games they want without other people trying pigeon hole them or tell them they arent gamers if they dont conform to someone elses pointless ideals.

Anyway, console games on PC is a double edged sword. If console developers can't be bothered to do decent PC versions then perhaps they reap what they sew.
There used to be decent first person shooters on PC but battlefield, COD, Rainbow six have all turned in to generic console shooters.

Because they are developed for console, thats where all the money is.

Dont play them games. But out what you said Battlefield isn't a console port far from it. It has everything you expect from a PC game. You using the Console Port term wrong.

A bad port is when a game, is missing a feature a PC gamer expects to be in there, Here is a couple. Unlocked Frame rate, FOV, High Resolution, Fully config button layout = Battlefield offer all this.

A bad port dont mean performance! and again Battlefield performance is very good.

PC has much more better proper FPS games.. CSGO, Insurgency being two I play..

Me and my mate used to catch and get hackers banned a lot by the way of spec videos or just by following them to catch them out on video.

yeh i find it pretty hard to play any fps serious that doesnt have a 1st person spec view,
tribes ascend was one, it also used hitscan on some guns, ofcourse a aimbot come out

some of it can just be stopped by good game design, but i think what we get instead is the much more casual fps,
brainless fun is good sometimes but doesnt have much lasting appeal to me :(

fps & strat games these were always good reasons to get a gaming pc

a console port is where the game is primarily designed for consoles and then ported over to PC with very few changes, e.g. where it keeps popping up to tell you what button to press and those "cutscene" esque moments where you have to press a specific sequence of keys to progress, which battlefield now has

battlefield 2 was the last decent PC battlefield they did

No a console Port is when the PC version is missing key PC features... And FYI BF2 had pop ups online explaining everything.. Much more detail than most games to day. Just because a game has pop up dont mean its designed for console lol

i think its a bit harsh calling bf a port lol
sure it went more arcadey after 2, and hardline is looking like the silliest yet but they for sure put some effort into the pc versions more than just port it over

If youre happy playing console games on PC then fair play to you, what you do with your spare time is up to you mate.
I prefer playing PC games on my PC.
I cant be bothered with generic yearly shooters like battlefield has become.

Out interest what games do you play?

at the moment I have installed;
star citizen, arma 3, planetside 2, asseto corsa, heavy gear assault, elite dangerous, war thunder big guns, warface

I'm also looking forward to;
unreal tournament, total war warhammer, legacy of the void, heroes of the storm, wreckfest, dreadnought

thats just off the top of my head as I've not had a chance to check what's on my main PC upstairs

once star citizen comes out properly that will be my main online game, probably for a few years if it lives up to the hype, with just breaks to fit in anything that pops up that I want to play through the single player of
there's a distinct lack of decent first person shooters about at the moment, I did play through COD:AW but that only took a few hours and I really hate "push button x" cutscenes in the middle of gameplay
I might give witcher 3 a go if the PC version is de-consolised enough... I just got hold of FarCry4 but that again is an awful console game so I've not put more than a couple of hours in and it'll be gone tonight

BF3/4 are also installed but only play those on BF Wednesday.

I struggle to find time to play anything though, 2.7 hours gameplay on Steam in 2 weeks.
