Im surprised most don't just update to the german version that iv been using for weeks now its running perfectly and so smooth and no difference from the UK version. Plus you will get future updates quicker as they roll out there earlier than the UK.

Running the German Rom here and it's good as gold I agree, my only gripe is the heads up notifications but it's a lollipop thing apparently
I'm guessing your not rooted? Xposed has a module to fix that iirc.

Nope not rooted, but you got me interested, will have to look into that.
It's the only thing annoying me with lollipop, I've had a few instances now where I'm watching a video full screen or showing something to a friend and then a WhatsApp notification pops up at the top of the screen -_-

I updated to the German firmware yesterday and a similar thing happened to mine. Around 60% lost overnight....
I'm tempted to get a note 4, as I don't feel the new S6 or HTC One M9 offer anything great. I tend to keep my phones for quite a while (2-3 years). Do you think the note 4 will stand the test of time, in terms of getting updates past lollipop etc from Samsung? What is the development scene like? I've kept my Galaxy S3 going with custom roms for some time, one for speed but also to can all the bloatware that Samsung layers on.
Is the lollipop release now out in the UK? if so, is touchwiz slimmed down and more like stock?
Lastly, when will the note 5 likely make an appearance? Q3?
