So close to quitting this game again...

Well for balance me and Ade had a great day (game wise) yesterday, we ended up winning 16 out of 21 games or similiar? Which was a complete contrast to Saturday when we were struggling to get even win/loss rate.

I think its just one of those things that when the game/MM decides you will have a bad day, you will have a bad day and nothing can be done. But it seems to balance out just live with it.

For most players you are absolutely right.

For some idiots THEY are the cause. Over the weekend I was in one game on Lakeville in my Fury when I was in a tier 7 game (no big issue with that) and the Black Prince and T25/2 platoon were moaning about how they were having a string of bad games, then the Black Prince proceeded to wonder to the gully with our other tier 7 heavies. Then they wonder why they have bad games, boggles the mind. (We lost, despite me politely trying to point out their flaw.)

On Lakeville as a heavy your job is generally to help hold town (with the exception of lightly armoured heavies and hull-down beats such as the T29), especially as a top heavy. That is the general rule, if you don't understand that then you will fail more often than not.

Ha I was about to post that up :).

Had the "Big noobs" watching my Match last night..... get in early on the 12th.

See you in there soon, NDA is lifted from the 12th as well :)

Cannon fodder is coming lol ;)

Well, I am not logging in again for a little while.

several games solo after we gave up as a platoon and it got worse.

As arty....MM decided it would be fun to have 6 .....yes SIX Bat.-Châtillon 25 t's and 3 other medium tanks oppose our squad of 5 TD's and 2 IS7's. Map was Live Oaks....guess where our heavies went....yep...town.....guess where ALL those Medium & light tanks went....yep down the flank with the bridge.......what a mess.
I logged out with a ratio of Played 12 Won 4

I don't mind not being the worlds best player, Christ I am probably not my household's top player, I am sure my 12 year old son doesn't do some of the Kamakazi carp I do...but for pete's sake I wish the MM would give me a ****ing break.
So, I will lay off it for a while, or I see an episode of Monitor through the window coming to a screen near me.

Rant over....Out !

I warned you mate! Should have cut your losses when we disbanded the platoon at played 8, won 2. When its one of those days where MM repeatedly puts you with tomato teams and green oposition, or where MM puts you bottom Tier etc theres no redeeming just bail!

well just deserted my first game, 6k games and just deserted for the first time. The reason is people in game and also my lack of ability to play tier 9 heavies. The reason i quit was because of the following:
24vvhhj.jpg

I know this isnt the current map picture

Got this map in my is8, set direction for the B and C line, where heavy tanks tend to go and get part of the way there and.... i'm on my own. Like what the **** do i do at that point??? What i did was pick a corner as close to my team as possible and then got rushed by 6 tanks. I mean what can you do? Once you've commited should i just run and let the enemy team just win that side or sit there and die and attempt to maybe kill a few before dying??

That is8 game was my daily double.... 150 xp yay......with premium time

Also another question, how do you deal with tier 10 tanks in a tier 9 heavy. I seem to get a lot of tier 10 games in my vk 4502b and either what will happen is i will play too aggressive and die or i will play too cautiously and do little to no damage.
What i'm used to doing in heavies is the usual... side scrape, shoot and pull back. Make use of the armour and big gun, however in tier 10, side scraping works... to and extent then i get hit for 7-800 damage.

How do you guys play tier 9 heavies vs tier 10?

My only T9 heavy is my Conqueror and I think its fortunate enough to not really care what Tier heavy its facing. It has no reliable armour (the turret bounces ocasionally) so Its the same "peek and shoot" playstyle regardless.

It might sound negative but the Conqs gun is amazing and will pretty much pen anything and has nice Alpha for a change (if you've played Brit heavies you will appreciate what i mean). By being forced into the same playstyle you soon learn the best places, tactics for the handful of maps.

On that map you have posted above I would have also gone C2 and tried my best to hug a cliff and get hull down.

I find it even worse at T10 as I only have the E-100. As it is so slow you have to make your mind up steady away where you are going, of they lemming train the other way I'm now to far behind to help spread head that attack so end up firing alone defending the other flank. Even worse is when you think you do have support but they either run away or yolo, again leaving me alone to die. So many games lately that I barely get 3 shots in before being overwhelmed, or I end up following others in a landslide win and don't even get 1 shot off!

The IS8 I struggle with the lack of gun depression, but at least it is quick enough to relocate if possible. This is something I'm trying to do more, rather than just sitting on a flank on my own.
