+1 That's what I was thinking.. Run up, shotgun him, everyone does blink strike, shotgun him again..
 
Speaking of making the raid more fun what are peoples thoughts on soloing Crota as a hunter? I got up to Crota last night without too much problem but not too sure what the best approach is for Crota himself to avoid boomers etc. I have my newly acquired gjallarhorn maxed and was thinking of going up via the right rock but a couple of videos showed a gunslinger jumping up from the middle rock so wondering if this might be better?

Interested in peoples thoughts.
 
Tripmines do a decent whack of damage to Crota so you can throw one, gjally him and then he should be pretty much down by the time all of the Wolf packs have hit

Do you think we could do it without grenades and supers? Using both (or either) of those feels like it'd be too easy.

@Write - the videos I've seen doing Crota solo mostly seem to use the right rock and just ignore the boomers. They're basically relying on luck that they won't fire (as is often the case). 2 Gjallarhorn rockets will bring him down, with the Wolf Packs finishing off his shield just in time for you to get close enough to hit him.
 
Slightly related.....I read somewhere that grenades do full Times Vengeance damage on Atheon even outside of Time's Vengeance...will have to get my fusion grenades on with HoPF next time I'm on there to try it out :)

I chucked a fusion grenade at him last week when defending the portals, did about 7k damage if I remember rightly. Was going to try the exact same thing tonight!

Thats EXACTLY why its thinning down. People commit one second then cba the next, hence why those people who used to organise PS4 raids gave up.

How did you solo the bridge part? I must be doing it wrong with stepping on and off the plate to get the bridge at least 80% up to sword across...

When we two man it we (or rather Mazin who was much better at it lol) did the step on/off the bridge, I tried it by myself but the timing to get the bridge and the sword bearer up and down at similar times was too difficult for me, sadly I had to resort to a cheese and blink strike my way across, I followed this one

it took a couple of attempts to get the timing as I fell short initially but its pretty easy once you get that down.

thrallway was just a case of killing the shriekers then doing blink strike to get past everything.

The best (most fun) bit was the deathsinger as there is no hiding/cheese available at least not that I know of. I cleared the left side first then went across and did the right side, once both shriekers were down I took out a couple of the knights on the right side but it was mainly just using up time until the liturgy started, just before this I used my super vanish to run past everything get up on a doorway in the deathsinger room and then let her have 7 gjallarhorn rockets.

Then follows the most boring bit clearing out all the knights by yourself!

Cool, shall we shift the start time to 8? I'm sure we can find the remaining places from our respective friends lists, either that of LFG.
