Everyone i quote, it somehow means i'm stalking them...like their posts are hidden and i actively need to search for them to respond, not like its a public forum.
 
Can't believe all the talk of backplates... Nvidia spent a lot of money designing it, if it needed one it would have it, also they may have left it off for a good reason, backplates don't always help.
 
Word. The Nvidia engineers (should) know what they're doing.

For that kind of money they could easily have included a backplate. They obviously think its better without.

They may have forgot to notify the relevant department that it should have. Back plate :eek:

Worst thing on the 980 is the backplate, it makes the card run hotter and looks rubbish too.

With the Titan having a higher TDP the heat problem would only get worse if a backplate was included.

The best way to deal with posts you don't like is to ignore them.


In the next few weeks I expect to be the target of quite a lot of offensive posts and trolling on several different forums, I don't give a ^%&$ and will just laugh at them. The more abuse I get the better, I like a good laugh.:D:)

That's why NVidia have made it easy to remove a bit of it to improve cooling lol.:p


The GTX 980 backplate is very cheap and nasty compared to the ones EK make for example.:)
 
As far as I'm aware , backplates in SLI ( at least in some cases ) is detrimental to cooling ... And with a 12gb vram buffer I can only imagine people will be buying it in pairs more so than on their own .
