Vote with your feet and dont buy! Or wallet i guess. Nvidia needs to learn pricing this high doesnt sell

People won't, as Gibbo was saying in the other thread that 12GB wasn't overkill, it is, but there is a core group of buyers who just feel the need to buy whatever is most expensive... thus best. The guys who queue up for 2 days before an Apple launch outside a store without even knowing what is being launched.

People WILL buy at these prices because people are daft. The simple fact is if EVERYONE said **** off at these prices... the prices would come down. But those people who have to buy on launch and have to have the newest thing keep prices up. Because Nvidia get sales, Nvidia price another product at that price point, because why not.

If you make it... someone will buy it. Doesn't matter how poor value, if something else is faster, if it's faulty, people buy it, we live in a consumer based world where people will buy almost anything. If someone made 10 gold editions, literally with gold plated cooler... some idiot would buy it even at twice the price.... because that is the world we've become :(

Then as you say... on top of all the stupidity you have Asus as well. Proving exactly what I say. Sell literally an identical product... but add 5-10% cost to it. PURE profit... you'd think everyone would say "hey, this is literally exactly the same as everyone else, you're literally just asking me to pay you more and make you even more profit for absolutely no reason at all..............." and people do it.

I would have bought two at around £700 - £799 but at the advertised OCUK prices, I'm out.

I'm confident that they are a premium for the next few months only until the AMD 390X comes out so why pay more than I have to now? Not worth it in my book.
