The AMD Driver Thread

Yeah, VSR support's not there.

Think releasing this driver has actually made AMD look worse.

Maybe that's why it was delayed? They'd look ridiculous launching a driver after 4 months that's literally any old beta (With freesync support).

Then realized they'd look ridiculous either way.

Getting sick of all this half arse crap from AMD.
Think I'm more annoyed now than the delay.

I'll hold out till GTA V. If a Titan X offers the same or better performance for that game on release I'm making the switch, couldn't care less how much more it costs, at least similar performance is guarenteed and there's no waiting to play a game optimally on expensive top end hardware.

Not gonna lie, pretty disappointing tbh.

So where is the 4K VSR for all us R9 and R7 users? That you promised in Jan/Feb! Laughable!

Nearly 4 months wait for a few Crossfire profiles? Pathetic.

Amd preaching the wait will be worthwhile and it is now ive now come to my senses and seen the light, the green light that is nvidia. The only thing that Amd keep proving their good at is building there fans up for a big fall, these drivers are embarrassing for nearly 4 months work.

AMD doesn't release a driver - everyone slates them.

We're a difficult bunch to please, ain't we? :p

On a serious note, fired up Battlefield Hardline today (Campaign - I don't play well with others) and was very surprised to see the game is smooth and playable at 5760x1080 on Mantle with Ultra settings except 2xMSAA (Ultra preset is 4xMSAA, I dropped it without trying it at 4xMSAA as I don't notice much difference in most games after a little AA is added). Game looks very good, and both GPUs are performing nicely. Well done Visceral Games - a game that works well for me, with Crossfire support, at launch!

Next game I am looking forward to is GTAV. Sure that's restore my faith in games being broken at launch! :)

I'm with you mate.

I'm a little saddened, but not enough to switch my primary rig over to green. Throughout this 4 month wait I maybe fired up my 780ti rig once lol.

Well, given what's available in this driver, we can only question what the wait was for.... Freesync could have been developed on the side.

Not a lot of updates really. Not talking of any performance improvements.

It's truly mind boggling and disappointing.

Chaps, it is very uncommon for the drivers to take this long and they are usually more on the ball. Don't be hasty and give them the benefit of the doubt. Freesync would have been the issue and I am sure they had the driver team pretty much concentrating on getting Freesync up and running. I am sure once CF Freesync is going, they will be back to normal updates.

One thing I always hated about you AMD guys is your patience, so stick with it and all will come good :)
