** TITANX **

Both of mine were paid with a debit card. So that blows that out of the window. Will you be wanting to see peoples credit rating next?

I have never had a credit card in my life and don't wont one either. If I have money good, if I don't, tough luck I will need to save up.

What's your networth Greg ? :D

Sorry I forgot that you are every purchaser

Well 2 above this quote are the same, so that again blows that one even more out the window. You are digging a hole for yourself and my advice is to stop with your rancid preaching and let this section of enthusiasts enjoy what they have purchased when they arrive.

That's a whole different subject all together. Usually people that don't care for their basic needs have a tendency to go bankrupt or have economical problems from everything else but GPUs. :D

GPUs have probably got a 0.0000000000001% bankrupt ratio and there's also resale value so again I think that's a stupid argument.

Drugs, alchohol and gambling for example are bigger issues.

I don't know why I answer sometimes.

Who cares how you afford it. A true enthusiast will afford whether they work at Maccy D's or are high flyin in the smoke.

'Poor' enthusiasts will afford no matter what. That's why they are enthusiasts.

The rest - well - just can afford. Worked hard, prioritize other expenditures - still afford PC gaming at the cutting edge.

Admire the folk that bought 1/2+ - hope the results meet your expectations.

With the talk of overcharging and AMD being slow to react to nVidia's recently offerings, has anyone picked up nVidia stock? Given that these £800+ parts are selling well, and although it's not the only product nVidia offer, could be worth a punt!

I would wait to see what AMD new card can do and for what price before picking up any Nvidia stock.;)

This is a discussion board. This thread is titled 'TITANX' and I am discussing something related to the Titan X.

If you wish to suppress discussion on the pricing, I suggest you create yourself a new thread with a title that makes it clear that only celebration of this card should be contained therein.

Really? I don't do debt(other than mortgage) but I do use credit cards. I have 2, both do cashbacks. Both however also set to be automatically repaid in full each month. Over the course of the year the cashback mounts up if you use them for most purchases. Point being used in the right way they can make a little money for you, albeit very little

Well said Woodsta

I can't afford a Ferrari but I don't start questioning how they paid for them or raging on them (I know we love a car analogy here) :D

Lol @ this thread.

Seriously though, what people choose to do with their money is their own business.

I understand what others are saying though, basically when people are happy paying the high prices, nvidia will continue charging and milking them for extra profits by charging very high prices. If people refuse to buy as price for performance is poor, then they will have to reduce the price and be happy with lower normal level of profits they have been getting in the past.

That said, that is still down to the individuals paying, it's a free market, it's how it works. If you personally are not happy with the price, then don't buy one (like me), but don't begrudge someone else because they do. I am happy for those buying, it will make them happy and we will get to see some nice benchies. Then in the near future we can have the same performance or more for a third of the price, 16nm is not that far of now :D

If 'twas up to Me , we'd all have Titans X's and ride around on Jen like a pony . But it isn't :(

And as above , I know enthusiasts that work at McDonald's and have a Pute that makes mine look like a recovering crack addict and I have mine for a living . Do they have debt , yes . Do they have problems with there debt . None at all . Debt dosnt instantly mean your living beyond your means as a lot of older people whilst can afford it in cash will pay in plastic to reap the certain benefits of the plastic

Yes. A very simple point to grasp, that in no way interferes with people's freedom to spend their money should they decide to do it.
