Who cares about Chris Evans presenting Top Gear? Completely misses the point.

He is adamant he isn't interested in doing it. Which means the BBC are fooling themselves if they think they can talk Chris Evans into doing anything he doesn't want to...they obviously don't know him very well.

Possibility that Netflix could fund the successor to Top Gear (Net Gear? *shudder*), especially if Hammond and May jump ship.

Got nothing against Evans but it won't be TG without Clarkson; he's part of the furniture and the show as it currently is, is completely built around the personalities of the hosts. Watch American Top Gear and see how translatable the concept is.

It's the end of Top Gear on the BBC...if the BBC controllers think different then they are delusional. Top Gear is about Clarkson and his two buddies, who I suspect will follow him out of the show....all their contracts are up at the end of this month anyway....and they could command serious terms elsewhere, without the restrictions and politics inherent in the BBC.

To be fair I would have expected other papers to pick up on it. It only seems to be the telegraph and a couple others quoting telegraph. Click bait?

This is the BBC biggest programming mistake ever, total idiots, I hope Clarkson rings every last penny out of them, they have also ended the career of the guy who didn't get hit but had an argument with Clarkson, this is simply a case of the BBC don't personally like Clarkson and want to screw him.

I am cancelling the TV license next week, will then see what happens with them then.
