DDR3 Voltage

I have DDR3 1600 @1.5v XMP.

Phenom 965 defaults to DDR3 1333 @ 1.5v with XMP disabled. Would it be safe to reduce voltage to 1.35 if system is stable? Enabling XMP gives me the option to run @ 1600 1.5v but I've been told Phenom should run at 1333.

If it is stable then reducing the voltage will even help your components so yes it will be fine, although I would try and overvolt it and try and get more speed rather than go down

Thats over 4 years old. How long have you been running your set up as is without an issue?

I just took it out of storage to build a htpc.
