**** The Official Note 4 thread ****

I'm after a memory card for the note4 which should be with me tomorrow.

Will the Samsung Evo 64GB microsd card at around £20 be adequate for everything, including the most demanding video recording? If not, could someone please suggest an alternative? I think 64GB will be enough for me.

Thanks

I looked at that card too, but found a Kingston 90mb/s card for about £3 more. Can't see you having any issues with the Samsung though :)

Thanks Atari. I've seen the Kingston you mention for £25 so I may go for that now. The extra speed may come in handy for large file transfers in a usb3.0 card reader. All well with it or any issues to report?

If I'm honest, I've only had the phone & card for about two weeks, but no issues with it at all. Transfer speeds are quick (I moved a couple of GB's worth of music over to it and it did it quickly), certainly quicker than the standard 16GB Kingston memory card I put in the phone when I first got it. Seems to handle the UHD video recording pretty well to and that seems to hammer storage :p

Excellent, thanks for confirming :) If it handles the video well, I'll be more than happy, especially at that price!

Guys are these sites safe to buy from mobilephonesdirect.co.uk and mobicity.co.uk ?

Also one states the Note 4 is "Samsung Galaxy Note 4 N910 32GB 4G LTE and is a N910F model" http://www.mobicity.co.uk/samsung-galaxy-note-4-n910f-32gb-4g-lte.html#.VRJOFeE4Jb5 and other states nothing about it apart from a Note 4 ..

What is the difference in having LTE ? and do all note 4's really have LTE just this http://www.mobilephonesdirect.co.uk/sim-free-mobile-phones/samsung-galaxy-note-4 company has not stated the type of phone it is in detail ?

Do we use LTE in UK and is it useful to have if I travel to USA and is it compatible with their LTE ?

Also does anyone else know if there is cheaper place to buy from that is safe and has anyone purchased from these two companies and recieved everything in good order and does it come with the fast charger or just the standard charger ?

Thanks guys, need to order a new phone as mine is on the way out due to the battery giving up and would rather not invest in a new battery for it. I want to buy the note 4 SIM free by the way.

Quick one:
My note4 arrived this morning and i was expecting it to be locked to vodafone. I was told it would be locked from the smartphone company. However, i just put a giff gaff sim in and it allows me to make calls. Does this mean the phone is unlocked to all networks? Reason i ask is that once i get my microsim from Three, i want to be using the Three network.

From my experience they have all come unlocked from places like that, CPW, Mobiles.co.uk, mpd, etc.

Thanks. I was a bit surprised as I thought it'd not only locked, but also heavily branded. Saved me £20 unlocking fee too!! :)

Just need to get a Three microsim now as mine's an older, full sized sim. Looks like they can be cut down but i'd probably end up wrecking it!

Treat yourself to a nice case with that moolah :D

I will do. I've bought a cheapo case from ebay for £3 just to protect the phone whilst choosing something decent :D Was thinking of something like an Otterman but there seem to be a lot of lovely looking cases out there.
