Titan X review and gameplay

Yer, you will be fine with 1 but may need to notch down the AA just a touch in some stupidly demanding games :)

As for the fan profile, I am a real noise hater but would rather the noise over throttling, so until I get the water blocks on, that is how it will be. I have no issue with the fan spinning at 100% other than the wife smacking me round the back of the head :D

Thanks Neil and appreciate that :)

Thanks. Don't mind turning AA down as long as I can have at least some :) I'm hoping the fan doesn't scale the same way as my 980 does. I mean if I put my 980 at 70% it sounds like a jet engine. :(

I think I might have to watercool this but have never done so before. Wish there was an AIO.

The fan is loud at 70% lol and if you are like me, certainly look into water cooling, as it is heaven. The only noise from my comp is a faint sound of the rad fans and the pump when I have everything water cooled.

Cheers Nelly :)

Yeah, I've just been doing some research on this. Is there any guide on the parts I'll need? I've never done a custom loop before so have no clue where to begin in terms of rads/pumps etc. I saw some EKWB/Hydrocopper installation videos and its simple enough to install the unit on the card but its the rad/pump stuff I'm clueless on.

Thanks for the comments guys and really appreciated :)

As for water cooling, there is some seriously knowledgeable guys in the water cooling section here who will put you on the right track, Mayh3m.

Ask in there and tell them what you need :)

I'm quite lucky, my eVGA cards are fairly quiet with a custom fan profile and don't go above about 75/76c :)

Hard to make out the OSD from afterburner, you should enlarge it in the options.

Noted for next time cheers :)

I don't know if it is me not being used to it, as I was water cooled for so long or just these are noisier than normal reference cards but they do seem loud to me. They do a fantastic job mind, so I would rather have them loud rather than running at 95c for instance :)

I can't bear a noisy PC now when gaming, I think the 295x2 spoiled me in this regard (although it wasn't a silent idle!!)

Now I have the best of both, a silent idle and not a lot of noise whilst gaming AND reasonable temps :D

This reminded me of the affect Battle: Los Angeles film had. Rousing enough that you could considering joining the U.S. Marine Corps, or buy an expensive GPU set-up going by this video.

However, I don't need the performance so mucho money will be staying in savings account.

Good vid Greg, interesting point about tri sli. I do remember you stating not that long ago that scaling was bad and you reverted to two cards. But was it ever any better, as i do recall several of us on MLG bf nights stating issues with even two cards in sli, where previously things had been good on older drivers.

Cheers Rob and I played on 3 cards for the remainder of my Titan time (about 2 months) because the minimums were better. BF4 was a strange one and one day perfect on 3 and the next jerky.... I never knew if it was me or server or game or act of the devil :D

nice vid greggster but you need to do it in an american accent to up the excitment

I seriously thought about doing several accents but decided to be the tru Brit and dull it down :D

Maybe my next game review will be something like that :D
