Heaven 4.0 Benchmark Problems

I've been benching and gaming on my Titan X for the last few days and am very pleased.

Sadly though I'm having issues with Heaven 4.0. It seems to show a blackscreen and skips frames (hitches for a second or two) then continues normally when the camera transitions into the tower and at some point before it goes up the stairs.

This always gives me minimums of 9.1 FPS but the funny thing is the fans ramp down during the blackscreen and GPU usage falls to 0 then goes back up and continues.

It doesn't crash and the bench finishes properly but this is a concern as it gives me very bad minimums.

The GPU hasn't crashed on me in any game or bench for reference.

GPU is at 71c so not a heat issue imo but I'm thinking maybe a PSU issue (AX1200)?

With CPU @ stock or 4.5Ghz it does the same thing.

There is a couple of points in the bench that hitch but not to a point of 9 fps. I think 30 is what I get going from memory.... Tried uninstalling the app and re-installing?

Can only comment on my 780 but when there is not enough voltage on my overclock it does a similar thing. You may find that heaven runs slower unless you reboot as the card or driver run the card slower.

either lower clocks or more voltage is required imo.

I've noticed that too. Exact same couple of points every time. This is at stock and overclocked for me, so I just put it down to the program.

I missed the bit where you said the screen was blacking out and the fan. That doesnt sound right at all.
Try it at stock man!:)

Just found this on OCN

"unigine valley is great for testing overclocks (except that it keeps going after it crashes...just gives you a low score, but you can tell when it crashes just from minimum fps going down to 5ish)...."

So I guess the problem should be similar with Heaven 4.0

:)

Don't use Valley to test with on a fast system as you get bad CPU bottlenecks unless you are running at a very high resolution.
