When I levelled my Warlock, I didn't purchase any of the vendor armour perks as I didn't want to waste the Hadronic Essence. Luckily, that first run through on CE NM netted me the raid boots and helmet. Took about another 10-12 run throughs to get the gauntlets though!

If I remember, you started that raid as a Lvl 27 and ended it as a 30 :D

We're all jealous of Jay's double No Land Beyond drops :D Two straight forward runs (apart from some crota business that i think was from my dodgy connection). :D Happy to be done before 10.30!

That's the 4th person I've seen/heard getting double No Land Beyond drops on CE. The 3 prior occasions was Deathsinger and Crota drops. Was it the same this time round?

HM = Oversoul Edict, Fang of Ir Yut, Glowhoo, Ship (Bane of something)
 
Yep cheers for the runs chaps, pretty seamless really. I wish id have come out with 2 No Land Beyonds, although I did get one on the sunday run so no need to be greedy :D

No great loot for me, or should I say no new loot other than Word Of Crota on HM and Titan feet on normal. Sharded the Oversoul Edict. Oh I got the Gloohoo shader too which actually looks quite decent with the Iron Banner chest piece on Warlock.

The Ghallajjornrhnornrnr still evades me though. Heres hoping for next time.

Primaries that can drop on VoG NM are Atheons Epilogue and VoC, both IIRC at Atheon. You want the latter. :) There is also two chances of exotics (chest and Atheon) and more than one chance for both specials and heavies to drop.

Armour wise I wouldn't bother upgrading as a vendor chest piece offers up more defence and light - albeit at the cost of looking meh in comparison.

What we could do is get you through the first two sections of CE NM which offers up the chance of giving you guantlets, chest and boots.

Get a feel for the raid from a couple of videos and then follow the lead when we get inside. You will no doubt pick up the mechanics of each section pretty quickly, mastering each bit will take much longer though.

Most importantly though, have fun! :D

I would hang on to the raid armour if you get it from VoG though, it looks miles better than scrota's end, and I reckon they will give people some way to increase armour light level in future.

I would be quite happy if it required breaking down top-level raid armour for special materials, so the difficulty of gaining it is the same, but people can actually wear the armour they want.

Yup.

I think that was my 4th and 5th NLB drops.

Should be called No Land Boomerang.
