**** The Official Note 4 thread ****

Yes I saw that other day too but the problem is they don't state the model and they dont state warranty, handtec stated 910F has 24 month warranty (which I checked with Samsung too & has 2 years warranty with them) and the 910C was 12 months (Samsung said this model is not warranty covered in Europe, so no warranty and only warranty is with the retailer), F is snapdragon version and C is the Exynos.

SM-N910F for Europe
SM-N910C - Asia, Europe, South America

Also the warranty for the C model is only with the shop, Samsung will not honour the warranty as it's not an EU model they told me and a grey import .

I also wanted the Snapdragon Europe model for the 2 year warranty with Samsung and the Snapdragon version has better support than the Exynos version it seems too.

Also Handtec supplied the phone with the adaptive fast charger which I was happy to see in the box.

I just recently picked up a Note 4 myself as an upgrade from my S3 after being disappointed by the S6 offering. I deliberately went for the Exynos version (910C) as I just find that SoC more interestingly and the slightly CPU performance increase over the snapdragon is nice and I don't game much so nothing much lost on the GPU side for me.

In the first couple of days I felt the battery life was poor (On lollipop) and I seemed I was always on track for 4-5 hours screen on time over the day. Very slightly better than my S3 but I wasn't that impressed. However I think the problem was a mixture of a few samsung services causing a high number of wakelocks which I froze and the kind of usage I was doing on the phone. Lots of heavy usage keeping the CPU's loaded up really hurts the battery. I also swapped to different kernel to help.

Today I grabbed my Note 4 directly off overnight charge and sat with it for an hour or so just browsing websites and such, just the normal kind of usage I'd use my phone for. Much more impressive. Under 10% drain for over an hours usage - my S3 would drain around double that under the same tests. Starting to feel much happier with it now :)

I'm on BC03 and want to flast a de-bloated rom. Has anybody rooter their international version (Snapdragon) and flashed a customer recovery?

Any guides for the Note4 that you'd recommend... Not too fussed if I trip the counter etc.

Thanks!

If anyone got their note 4 from mobilephonesdirect or smartphonecompany and theirs has come without, phone their customer services if you want the fast adaptive charger. I mentioned it to them whilst enquiring about something else and they popped one in the post without fuss.

iv'e got mine today! woop! however I aint broken the seal on the box yet, how do I check what model I have? 910F ?

I just upgraded today from a note 3 and I have to say it feels like a bigger upgrade than I'd expected. The build quality is fantastic now and, date I say it... I'm not even finding the improved touchwiz that bad either!

Mine came with the fast charger. Wow this phone is so sexy!

Told you ;), makes the M8 and M9 look silly once you have it in your hands and really play with it without all the shops anti-theft tethers attached to it and they never have the S-Pen on the display unit too .

The screen is just lush and I found some great apps to get most out of it, will post some apps that I think we all should have for the Note 4. So you new owners like myself get the most out of it.

By the way did you end up getting it from Handtec too as I did ?

Actually loving the new touch wiz, I did try Google launcher and a few others that people swear by and found them nowhere as good as the stock touch wiz one in daily use, they really did do a great job on it. :D

Handtech are doing the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 32GB - Charcoal Black (SM-N910C) EXYNOS version with 12 month warranty (remember this is only with the shop not Samsung the warranty on this one) for £448.19 now as they seem to have got my hint after the call that customers will not be happy paying the same price as the SM-N910F Snapdraggon Europe version with a full 24 month warranty with Samsung and the warranty with the shop.

SM-N910F Snapdraggon Europe version is still £469.79 and comes with the adaptive fast charger too and full 24 month warranty.

That's odd. I've got the 910C with the Exynos chip. I called Samsung UK to check the warranty and they 100% confirmed it was a full 2 year warranty with Samsung. I also gave them my serial number for them to look up.

It didn't come with the adaptive fast charger however, just the standard black charger in the box.
