Cameron claims he cares about the most vulnerable

He is also running for re-election at the imminent general election, all he cares about is maintaining his position (and possibly strengthening it), he will say (almost) anything to get votes :).

They always do,all these promises of changes and making it better for the working man is complete BS.

Yeah, I feel like that too but currently, he (Cameron) is the only party leader to I feel can deliver. While his term hasn't been perfect, I think he's done well and will get my vote! All the other leaders, especially UKIP, labour are just empty promises and full of poop! Actually, maybe not empty promises, but the policies and plans I don't agree with.

True

Just take a look at what else is on offer!

I will look for the figures later but the amount of benefit not claimed by those that need it and mistakes made by the DWP far and away outstrips the amount that benefit cheats claim.

And of course cheats should be targeted but I wish as much energy was put into the tax cheats which again far outstrips was cheats claim.

Then what about companies paying low wages knowing the state will make up the shortfall? this has risen by 70% since the coalition came to power.

While our attention is being focused on the bottom of society(so to speak) we're not looking at what the top end are getting away with.

Basically, tories gonna tory.

I know. I watched the debate and honestly didn't think any of them did any good, inc Cameron. Sturgeon spoke well and if I was in Scotland would have voted for her, but with the track record of Labour, failed partnership from Lib-Dems and the obvious demise of the UK with UKIP, my choice was made easy.

Define well because his Chancellor has failed to deliver everyone of his own fiscal promises.

Sturgeon just wants another referendum, I know what i'd give her, horrible women.

I've never voted Tory in my life but..........

Anyway I don't do politics so i'm out

What really, really winds me up is how services for the really vulnerable, disabled, vulnerable children and adults, get slashed. How is this fair? Why are they shouldering the burden for the economic crash that was caused by greed?

More cuts are needed, why should I pay extra for the lazy, fatties and breeders.

If you dont like it emigrate or vote the looney communist Labour left :)

More cuts are needed? Seems you've swallowed the diatribe that has been spouted by Government for years now.

Why should those less fortunate, and most aren't the stereotypes you see on TV programs, pay for the economy that was ruined by those at the top?

I personally think Cameron is pretty left wing for a Tory, probably why he isn't a popular leader with a lot of his back benchers.
On social issues most certainly, he's reasonably left-wing socially (compared to the average, not absolute) & supports many equal rights changes.

It's on economic issues he's still on the right.

Exactly, it's not that I think much of any of them, but Conservative seem to be the best of a bad bunch. Personally don't think 5 Years has been long enough to make too much impact, although I think things are heading in the right direction.

Neither do I but that really isn't the point.

Cameron talks about trust, why should I trust him to deliver his economic promises when they have failed to meet their own targets for the last five years?

Who would you prefer running the economy - Ed Balls? I don't think anyone wants that.

Armageus makes a good point though, 5 years is nothing really...

It's also been made clear today that the parties promises around reducing the deficit by 2020 simply won't happen - according to the IMF! I don't trust any of them either!
