Bored within hours lol...so you did every type of online activity, like the 30 or so different online types? the heists, all the missions, tennis, golf, darts, jet skiing, cruising, buying property, dabbling in the stock market, buying clothes, accessories etc and the hundreds of other random stuff in the free roam lobbies.....all boring lol.

Well, I give up. Can't get past the initial "Performing first time setup" window that pops up for a few seconds then nothing.

Errors coming up in windows event log, this one seems relevant:

"Error: /installscript failed on: H:\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\runasadmin.vdf: 271590"

I have the game installed on a network drive, every other game in Steam is also installed here and runs with zero issues.

Played my first heist tonight, do the fleeca setup - freezes when we return to apartment, and I get markd as a bad sport for killing app and restarting (had no choice).

Nice.

Not sure about new gen consoles but on the PS3 if you started a game you might as well goto bed and by the morning you could customize your character. Then goto work and when you get home you could play.

For me, it has to be almost instant ( ONLINE ), having to wait for each mission to load, then to restart it if someone dies, or the long wait from quitting out of a mission is extremely tiresome. We are not talking about a 1min wait either, it takes damn ages to go back the main part of the game from an online mission.

I can load an Amstrad CPC 6128 game on disk faster than going from starting a mission to being in the mission :)
 
Game is so bad it has a 98 metacritic score.

You don't obtain that by a game people aren't happy with.

Yes the loading can get tedious if you're constantly backing out and in but stay in a lobby and it's fine.

As I said earlier today most of the loading is probably due to server load but they're handling it pretty well considering how bad it was on the console launch.
 
My game keeps crashing. Driving around online and the game crashes and have to restart. Happened quite a lot so far. No idea whats going on
 
This is only first week after launch, of course there is going to be problems. Give it a bit of time to be patched and we'll be laughing! Loading times for me are fine, no longer than I would have expected.
 
Well any way, I seriously need to complete Pillars of Eternity!

Then I may come back to GTAV when the loading has matured online

I don't feel the need to. The game play, movement and combat feels slightly clumsy and lacking fluidity to warrant bothering putting in many hours online. The load times and character progression/skills and how this effects game play doesn't seem to help. It also feels as if I'm playing a mildly violent cartoon for people in their teens in terms of the graphical style which is probably my biggest issue. It's by no means bad and I can see some of the appeal, just seems largely over hyped. They did a good job with the launch overall though I will admit.
 
Why not just play single player, there is a mountain of stuff to do if you find multiplayer bad.

My only problems are at the moment. 360 pad doesnt always work with my orbweaver.
Sometimes the launcher just doesnt work so have to restart.
Framrates can be a bit all over the place but not unbearable.

Multiplayer ive spent about 30 mins in total but will do more from tomorrow onwards, bought apartment, bought a ocuple or bicycles and a carbon moterbike. Some new clothes and thats about it.

Need to join up with a few people if the damn 360 pad stays working like it is now.
