***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

What!!!!! 1440p is almost twice the res of 1080p mate, masses of difference. As for 21.9, it's to stretched for me personally, just looks weird.

29" 21.9 is 2560x1080, not 1920x1080, iirc the ppi difference between 29" 2560x1080 and 27" 2560x1440 (108 PPI) is about 13/14 PPI, 4k at 27" has a ppi of about 163.

Yeah the 21.9 AR is a marmite thing, you either love it or hate it, at first I thought it would be far too wide and I still think it is but it does make gaming etc. a lot more immersive/cinematic than any 16.9 screen imo, I just wish a 3440x1440 34" VA/IPS freesync screen was on its way soon and not by ACER :(

Amazing game. In still enjoying the online part so haven't properly started single player yet but I hear it's good. :D

Edit: hmm I think photo bucket has compressed the screenshot. Looks very sharp when in game.

Hehe im the opposite, i luv playing single player first so ya feel like ya workin for the cool cars and guns and stuff :)

I pulled up to the first race in single player and a rubbish little hatchback, i was expecting them to gimme a car when i arrived, instead i had to beat all these race cars in my little hatch back., about 20 losses later i finally managed to beat them, i just couldnt hit the skip quest button that early in the game, didnt feel right :)

Ive put in about 15 hours so far into the sp. Really enjoying it, but its the first gta that I haven't gone on a random killing spree. I must have only killed about 5 civilians. Everyone that has died is due to the missions or my terrible driving.

More than happy with 21.9 , feels far from squashed , going back to the standard aspect ratio makes my eyes hurt , literally turning my eyes square , next up is also 3440x1440 ips curved ultra wide

*2560x1080.

2560x1440 has about about 35% more pixels.

21.9 is a very wide aspect ratio but it just makes so much sense for games and media. Just a shame it isn't better supported in the former.

Looks live I'm out of the game for a while, woke up to an email from rockstar saying my email address has been changed, social club had gone from my PC, no idea how that happened, the email was changed at 00:07 when my PC was off!

I've replied to the email and reinstalled social club but still can't sign in until my account is restored.

I have downloaded this game twice now and i still cant play it. Crashes every single time.

Seems like no fix either. So just a heads up of what could happen.

 drivers? Chipset drivers have always caught me out in the past.

It should be ready to install tomorrow morning. Hopefully 70gb will be enough to decrypt and install...it seems to have already reserved the space needed for the install, so fingers crossed!

Should be ok. I think the extra space was only needed to unpack the preload.

I Don't have problem with driving and once you drive for long time in one car like your personal vehicle you will learn how to control it. I have super sports car and I love how it keep oversteer you learn how to control it. I was playing heist and someone else was driving my car, it was painful experience for him, he was allover the place, for me it's like in Grid
