Ive got a Trove card holder thing. Didn't buy it, was a gift. Pretty good though, never really carry cash around.

But I really want to do this..

:D

Unless you carry coins in it like a girl, instead of your pocket, just get a cheap standard 8 card slot + 2 note slot real leather wallet.

So you manly men what exactly do you do with all your change? I imagine id lose a lot of coins just leaving them in my pockets loose

Any wallet will do... Although I do have one bit of advice for OP put the wallet in a place it's:

A. Not going to fall out of at High speed

&

B. Somewhere it can't easily be nicked as if it is in a place it'll fall out at high speed would you really notice if some ****hole does decide to nick it!

That's the worst idea in the world, okay, not the worst but just a bad idea. In addition to what has said, trying to get the right key out is a PITA. Picture this:-

You come home from shopping, carrying 3 carry bags of food, got to your front door, you manage to get 1 hand free and got your keys out in a bunch. All I do is shake it and I can see and find the right one and grab the right key and open the door with 1 hand.

Can you do that with this weird contraption of a wallet?

And if you have 2 different locks on your front door?

Or you leaving the house you grab the wallet, you better check all 8 keys to make sure the front door key is one of them... And not loose and somewhere in the house because you will end up locking yourself out.

Then there is the whole all the eggs in 1 basket thing. although I am sensible, parents who live 16miles away have spare keys for me. No point spare keys being at home if you can't get into your house, although I have spare there as well, for things which are easily cut.

If I lose my keys, which is most likely due to misplaced instead of theft, and even if it's stolen, they don't know where I live. If they stole this, they have my driving licence which they know where I live.

And what about keys that don't fit in it? Car keys? Do I need a separate bunch for keys anyway?

Then what's the point of this in the first place?

And there is the whole thing about being bulky on top.

Wow what a long unthought out post.
It's easy to get the key they just slide put with any finger. Shopping bags won't make any difference.
Don't carry car keys, got a motorbike and isn't on key ring as it just bounces everywhere. Only carry house key when out.

What are you on about, checking the keys are there, if you've attached the keys they are there, they're screwed on.

Whole egg is in one basket anyway, only carry house key and I keep it in my wallet as I don't want to lose something so small. Although other people in house anyway.

Two locks on one door? Well generally in such a set up one lock remains unlocked when unlocked. even on a bunch unless you have a long chain then you can't put both keys in at same time. So another odd comment.

As for other keys, it really depends what keys you have and how you carry them.
My bike key would fit in it, but as I said that's separated for obvious reasons, work van key never have in a bunch anyway. It goes from the ignition a few feet to my house and stays in my house other than when I'm at work.

Coins in front-right pocket, keys in back right and wallet in back left. Simples.

WTF????

So when you sit down you then have to take everything out and stick it in the front pockets?

I wouldn't spend any more than £30 on a wallet. Had a leather Ted Baker one for about 10 years and it's now starting to fall apart over the past couple of years. I managed to find a similar one because someone posted one in the items of things purchased thread a couple of years back.

Basically I need one with separate spaces for cards. A zip where the notes go so I can also stick my coins in there.

I usually keep £2, £1 and 50ps in there all the time anything smaller goes into the piggy bank at home at the end of the day.

This is what I have bought as a replacement for the Ted Baker one

http://www.lichfieldleather.com/col...ld-leather-wallet-with-inside-coin-pocket-tab

in all my years of searching this was the best thing I could find to replace the Ted Baker one, all the new Ted Baker ones are naff. The Lichfield one is about £21 from the jungle.

I have a wallet I bought in, Italy in 2006. I don't like wallets though, too big and cumbersome so I use a plastic credit card size thing which I had a stack of from my college days, so 16 years I've had them. I think they were for bus passes but I cut em in half. I keep my bank cards, drivers license, club cards etc.

Notes I keep in my inside pocket with my plastic thing, zipped up ofc, and coins in my pockets.

I like that Teflon CC holder from page 1, will look for something like it

so after losing my *cough* second*cough* wallet forgetting to zip up my pocket when on the motorway, it's time for a new one.

anyway got me thinking cause my wallet lives int he pocket of my leather jacket it nearly always gets soaking wet when i'm riding in the raid, so curious is there's any decent alternatives to he traditional leather wallet that might stand up to the abuse a bit more?

usual things in my wallet are about 8 cards and occasional some cash.

So show us all your wallets!

Putting 8 cards into a single wallet. That's clever.

Wow what a long unthought out post.

Well, let's see.

It's easy to get the key they just slide put with any finger. Shopping bags won't make any difference.

I like to see you do this 1 handed in practice with multiple locks without dropping. All I do is hook the little finger in the key ring to make sure it never falls and then find the right key with my other fingers.

Don't carry car keys, got a motorbike and isn't on key ring as it just bounces everywhere. Only carry house key when out.

Well, that's everyone who drives a car out, motorbike users only then?

That's a big demographer that they are selling to !

What if I want to drive that day?

What are you on about, checking the keys are there, if you've attached the keys they are there, they're screwed on.

Ok, I admit I made that comment without watching the video as I was at work, only read the blurb.

After seeing the video, it seems only Yale locks keys fit, I have my doubts that dead bolts keys would fit in it.

Whole egg is in one basket anyway, only carry house key and I keep it in my wallet as I don't want to lose something so small. Although other people in house anyway.

Well, I don't, my keys are not attached to my wallet and often there are no other people in the house.

You can't rely on someone in the house as a back up plan, that alienate all those who live by themselves.

As for other keys, it really depends what keys you have and how you carry them.
My bike key would fit in it, but as I said that's separated for obvious reasons, work van key never have in a bunch anyway. It goes from the ignition a few feet to my house and stays in my house other than when I'm at work.

Depends, that's the key word here.

A key ring isn't dependant on size of my keys, am I going to limit my choice of locks or even vehicle choice because I want the key it to fit in my wallet?

Really?

I don't think any car key fob fits inside that, that's clear. And that alone means you need to carry car keys separate.

As for using that on your bike, is that mean you have you "wallet" sticking out on top of the bike when you are riding?

So a wallet has to suit everyone?

Minimalist wallets are getting very popular, more and more people aren't carrying around massive bunches of keys they don't need. Or 101 cards just in case. Especially inner city where a lot of people don't drive.

There will be no issue flipping a key out and using it, bags or no bags.

Doesn't suit you fair enough, I never said it would, but your gripes are pretty silly.

No it means I don't have my bike key attached to anything. As it would rattle about. Few bikers have a massive bunch of keys dangling around everywhere.

No, but that wallet doesn't suit the following if you want all your keys together.

1 - people who drives.
2 - people who lives alone.
3 - people who have dead bolt locks.

That alone rules out plenty of people, and you have to wonder who their target demographic are.

mrk tried the minimalist wallet, ask him how that turned out lol

You had the wallet with the rubber rings right? are you still using that?

2 is absolutely rubbish, just why, this is an absolutely stupid statement. Later this year I'll be living alone and still use that or similar.

3, you realise deadlock is an internal mechanism and has nothing to do with the shape of key. Many Yale are deadlocks.
So again absolutely rubbish.

Most wallets rule out lots of people, for many different reasons.

When you are on a night out, do you take all your keys?
I don't. Perfect for said people as well. Regardless if car key fits in or not. Lots of people even have a second wallet for nights put with bare essentials.

Never understand people who carry all their keys all the time.
