few things have changed since that photo, like black 3R wheels and bigger turbos! :D

Quality purchase :D Been on a hoon with one of these and they look amazing on the road.

Not keen on the rear though but I guess you can sort that.

What's with your inability to appreciate drivers cars?

When did I say I don't appreciate drivers cars?

What is it with you lot lately. It's like lets question blackhawk on every single post regardless of context.

Just doesn't look like the ideal daily car, and I assume he will use it for going down the shops in Banbury town centre.

If it isn't German and hasn't got 4 rings on the front you just slate it.

Some people couldn't give a toss about creature comforts and just want a raw driving experience.

That's so funny because it true. Lol

Nice Noble though. Not sure Yellow does it any favours though. Black on the other hand..... Thumbs up

Been offered a set of almost mint 3R wheels with the car but not sure as I prefer the early wheels (just not in black!)

Hopefully with my planned touches it'll make the car a little more subtle (relative term of course) and the yellow a bit nicer :)

Also, I've done the comfortable daily thing in the past with a 530D (E60) which I loved for doing ~160 miles a day for work. When I moved to current job meaning ~80 miles a day (A/B roads) was when I chopped that in for my second S2000 as a daily alongside the GTR :)

New work will be ~40 miles a day and mostly on B roads so arguably the Noble will handle it fine. Do keep having thoughts of buying the daily beater sooner than winter mind for those less sunny summer days.

My daily use may differ to others but trips to Banbury town centre are avoided as much as possible and have always got use of the better half's car for when it's just unavoidable, then again I tend to park a bit of a trek away to make sure I don't get dings etc anyway.

As has been mentioned they are very kit car and frankly if I wasn't happy getting my hands dirty it wouldn't be the car for me. But I'm quite happy fettling and am a month away from chopping my single garage in for a nice double :)

Over winter the car will probably need the floors doing (preventative rather than required) but having seen other cars I'd like to get them off and give the underside of the chassis a once over anyway.

Well, it's never left him needing the AA to get him home................... I'd class unreliable as a break down requiring recovery and a garage or spare part to fix. Popping a hose back on and tightening up a clip doesn't warrant calling something unrelable imho.

Besides, once we'd replaced nearly all the jubilee clips with Mikalor high pressure clamps it's been ok (touch wood!).

I'd agree with that.

High boost events in a Noble isnt normal anyway so easy to drive home without the problem reoccuring.

You dont buy a Noble without going in with your eyes open. Its the rusty chassis frames that are more of a concern....

Picked the car up this weekend and have spent the rest of the weekend driving the thing. Needs a good service and a few niggles looking at but made it home safe. Annoyingly new house build has been pushed back so will need to squeeze it into my single garage a little longer than intended but well worth it :D

Outright speed is a little slower than my Skyline but the pickup/response feels miles ahead and it just feels so good to drive on country roads. Less good in the rush hour traffic this morning but obviously to be expected.

Picked up in wales so would've been a shame not to go for a bit of a drive!

And a few people have asked about luggage space. In short there's a little space behind the seats but that's about it. Shopping trips will be done in the better halfs car mostly. Do like the cars party trick as a result though!

Time to update your sig then :D

Lovely car, I hope it doesn't give you too much trouble!

Indeed :)

I like the use of the term too much - it'll undoubtedly cause a bit of trouble but as long as it's not too much I'll take it :)

Already encountered one of the downsides to the Noble - the electrics. Rear lights have individual connectors on each wire to each prong instead of using the ford connector and a short wire pigtail (may be for a reason mind?) Went to change them yesterday but think I want to try and source a proper plug for them first rather than using crimped wires.

Really nice car mate!
There used to be one regularly parked in a Asda car park in Cardiff Bay, it had flat swirled to hell paint, cracks in the bumper curbed wheels and was just generally in a very sorry state. That was a long time ago too so the car couldn't have been very old and just made me sad to see it like that. Yours looks like a very nice example.

Cheers rick :) This one came from out that way but luckily a very different condition from the sounds of it. Mine had a respray not many miles ago so is pretty much bang on, there's a very slight crack by one of the fasteners on the rear hatch but that's about it :)

Build quality is about what you'd expect from a low volume manufacturer - it's obviously an older car but not too many noises and the doors shut nicely etc. The car certainly does minimalist very well. Known weak point on these was the crimped cables instead of a proper wiring plug etc, as I say the rear lights are wires into crimps then directly onto each terminal of the rear light. Not sure if that's a common thing but I'll certainly be seeing if I can get the ford plugs to suit instead. Do what I can as I go :)

It does clonk over some bumps occasionally (need to investigate, top mounts are a common thing I believe) and the brake pads on the front are rattling but I'll get it addressed :)

That looks comfortable. :o

I'm guessing that you've never experienced a car with properly sorted and tuned suspension. Just because Nobels (and Lotii) look extreme doesn't mean that they actually have a sold ride. The likes of BMW and Audi really could learn a thing or two from some of the British manufacturers on how to set a car up.

Oh God. Please don't disrespect Audi.

You won't like Blackhawk when he starts moaning.
