at an early stage yes it probably is

(also helps cut crime, though there is a slight racial element to this which is a bit controversial)

the 'unborn child' can be anything from a bunch of cells to being identical to a premature baby that might have a chance at survival...

In the former it isn't worth protecting, somewhere down the line it perhaps is and a rather arbitrary line has to be drawn where, in the latter case, only extreme circumstances allow for a termination.

Was it dicovered late or was discovery delayed to make the decision easier for catholics?

Just another indication of why religion is so outdated in the viewpoints it encourages. The Catholic stance on abortion is crazy. There is a direct and tangible risk to the girl at this age let alone the psychological harm it will cause her either way. It's a pretty bad situation all around.

Quicker humanity loses itself of these outdated religious concepts the better. If religion adapts to be humane then fair enough but to date we've not seen it with larges swathes or Christianity, Judaism or Islam.

It's ridiculous. North and South Ireland still have many ******** laws regarding abortion because of catholic influence in the country and on the protestant side there's the likes of the DUP. Many women from down south had to take the boat to England to get one. There was a time were anti-abortion protesters lead by Ian Paisley would wait their turn outside abortion clinics up here to protest because God forbid they protest with the catholic protesters at the same time.

After doctors revealed the girl was pregnant, her mother asked them to perform an abortion, but this is forbidden in Paraguay unless the pregnancy has life-threatening complications.

The girl was taken to a shelter and her mother was imprisoned on 27 April and accused of failing in her duty of care. A judge is considering a further charge of being an accomplice in the rape. The stepfather is on the run.

i read one of the news links in the child rape thread that was a very long account from a girl about how she was groomed and abused by one of the Asian gangs.

turns out while the internet has desensitized me to a video of a dude being killed with a chainsaw, text about severe child abuse still makes me feel physically ill.

Have the guts to say who you think is xenophobic to Muslims and who exactly hasn't posted in here.

You seem unable to distinguish between those that don't like Islam and other religions and then extrapolate that onto people not liking Muslims.
