Isn't that always the way?

Yes, exactly why I say there is no excitement to be had from vote share numbers, they mean nothing now and anything the Conservatives MAY propose will be exceedingly unlikely to make them meaningful either.

The status quo will not be rocked by anyone in the near future.

Agreed.

It seems a little undemocratic IMO when people have taken the time to cast their vote.

However, the UKIP swing, points gain, proportion of the vote will put pays to anyone dismissing them as some fringe insignificant party like the greens.

A fringe that's predicted to win as many seats as UKIP?

If the exit polls are correct, I think Ed Milliband and Ed Balls will be out pretty soon.

Ed Milliband simply doesn't have the charisma (I know that shouldn't matter but sadly it does) and Balls will be proved to have too much baggage associated with the Gordon Brown tenure.

cant believe what i just heard from balls on the bbc, blaming david cameron for the snp rise and how he wants to break up the union ?! i think balls has finally cracked.
