Witcher 3

Either way I'm happy with how this game is turning out, just pointing out for those whom unsteady fps affects their enjoyment. A gamer with an early copy posted the following about the games fps:

Take it as you will.

As said above there will be a day one patch to address the issue, most reviews seem to say it does slow in the more detailed area's but is fine for the most part.

From watching the videos of reviews in detailed areas you can see it slow, but it's nothing major, Oblivion was terrible to start with but improved with a patch or two, and this is much more detailed.

Gamespots PS4 review was apparently with the day 1 patch ... they gave it a 10.

The game scored, at worst, an 8 with frame rate problems, so after the patch hits this should be a belter :)

Quite a few reviews commenting on the frame rate on PS4, fingers crossed that gets sorted out as seems everything else is more than fine. 2015 seems to be the year of the RPG...

Still have to get my teeth into Bloodborne, GTA5 just burns time so easily...

I still need to finish Bloodborne. I think I'm pretty close to the end but then I got sucked back into Destiny. Witcher 3 will easily take 150+ hours of my life.

Devs have explicitly stated they've addressed this issue and it will be better once they officially launch.

Hopefully it's fixed and not just "better", but with a game of this magnitude I always expect the odd framerate issue here and there. As long as it doesn't affect the gameplay I can put up with it

Pre-ordered digitally on XO last night. Normally wouldn't, but have £50 XBL credit and there's nothing else on XO for the foreseeable future that I can't get on PS4. If I didn't have the credit I would have probably gone Physical PS4, hopefully the XO performance is OK.

Feel a little better going digital on this due to the longevity. On top of the core game aren't there 2 or 3 huge expansions planned later this year/early next tear?

I doubt there'll be much, if any difference between the two versions. Certainly nothing you'll noticing during gameplay at least.

lol that's what some said about the visuals Project CARS...anyone that says that are either A: blind
B: On the MS payroll

And yes I do play both back to back

I believe so, along with something like 16 free DLC packs over the next few months. No idea what they'll be, but they will be free, so that's good enough.

Well thats a new thing for devs to say pre-release of their game ;)

Well apparently Gamespot played the game with the patch applied. So they gave it a 10. :p

I was going to get it digitally but I want the map (which in fairness will probably spend 99.9% of it's life in the box) but it's nice to have physical things.

Anybody find it hard to party chat while playing SP games? Just find it too distracting when trying to get engrossed - its fine for something as shallow as Destiny, can imagine Wwitcher 3 causing long gaming sessions with ease...

Times like this I wish there was an invis option on the PS4

Same. If I'm playing single player stuff then I want to concentrate on it, not chat away. When I'm playing the Witcher I definitely won't be on party chat at all.
