Tattoo removal

That and they look a very...trashy.

Fixed. (In most cases, not all).

Wrong, grammatically and on the subject matter ;)

Tattoo's are only regretted when they are done "to be cool". Everyone I know that regrets their tattoo's have done them on the spur of the moment or when drunk.

Get a tattoo as a piece of art, or get one that has meaning. I have several planned that relate to my children which will be with one I already have. There can never be regret if it has meaning.

I'm far too much of a pussy to even contemplate tattoos. Fear of regret and having to burn myself when I'm 40 and hate my tattoos was easily enough to put me off.

That and they look a bit...working class.

Hate the bloody elitist attitude of a lot of the members on here. It's truly disgusting.

If I ever got a tattoo it would have to be perfect for me to not regret it. Can't believe some people get tats abroad on lads holidays and what not without a second thought! Baffles me.

Goodluck OP. Heard it takes a while before you see a difference.

I once got my todger tattooed to look like a snake. After a few years I decided I didn't like it, so had it chopped off. Problem sorted!

OP
Pics now, and then at each stage would be interesting to see the progression as they vaporise the ink under the surface of your skin.

ok.... Even more embarrassing is it had my name on it.. (which i've blurred out)

Here it is before any treatment.. I'll post a new pic of it after a couple of days. Right now it doesn't feel like anything has happened. Nothing like a burn or anything. Perhaps on a scale of 1 to 10 of pain, probably a 1! Doesn't hurt at all right now. During the 15 secs of the machine being on it, it was a good 8 or 9. Possibly even a 10... Hurt a LOT more than the tattoo being done. Anyway, here's the said sad tattoo. :D

Here's the machine they're using, which i looked up.. and it costs 100k $ to buy.

I think tattoo's look really good on some people. All the people I know have really little pathetic tattoo's. One girl even has a bottle of wine with some other stuff!!

Personally not for me, I'm too skinny it would just be over powering.

Did they say if you'd see a difference in a couple of days? Watched a program the other day and I'm sure they said it could be upto a year before any difference!

Think it always leaves a mark doesn't it when removed? Personally I would just go for a cover up with something better. Some fantastic tattooists in the States.

Really surprised people are still so judgemental about tattoo's, just a social norm these days.

Says more about the folks with the judgemental views than it does about those with tattoo's to be honest.

No they said in about a month. Apparently it takes a month or so for the body/skin to realise its had a laser treatment, then start absorbing the ink or something along those lines.

They said it wont start to fade until 2-3 treatments with the colors being the last to go, Will post a new pic after a couple of days once its had time to settle down. Right now it feels like a very mild sunburn at worse.

A lot of people at the moment are growing beards and getting tattoos due to fashion. Thankfully the beards can be easily removed. The tattoos can't.

For me fashion is the big distinction here. A few people on here seem to have got tattoos for good reasons. The surge of fashion victims in recent years are the ones who will regret them as soon as the fashion has moved onto something else.

Personally I'd never get a tattoo, as I don't see the point and having it for the rest of your life is a long time to learn to hate it. Having said that we all have our own choice to make, so if someone wants one it is up to them.

** You must have read the thread to have picked up on that so your comment was a veiled personal attack **

I'm with squired here - I don't understand the trend, I don't understand the look and think a lot of people will end up regretting their choices.

Good luck with the removal.

Personally speaking I'd much rather have a piece of art on the wall instead of something on me. The colours tend not to fade or darken over time and they can be replaced painlessly with something else should my taste change or I grow bored of it/them. Nope, I've never quite seen the reasoning behind tattoos at all if I'm honest.
