close and lock the gate?

gate closes automatically and her space is behind it too...

anyway an update - car has now moved to what I'm assuming is her proper space... about 10 meters away

only difference is she can't just drive into that space but has to park sideways/parallel park to maneuver into it... but with no one to the side of her I'd have thought it would be easier to put car seats/kids in when parked in that space

wouldn't "swap" but you could be nice and say you can use it but there are times when I need it and these are them. its more hassle on your end. depends where you mood is.

also depends how far away her actual space is

So, in short, woman who can't park wants to swap places because yours is easier to park in?

Yeah, as I thought, tell her where to go.

Wow, seriously? What a lazy hag. Regardless of having kids she shouldn't think it's ok to just use someone else's parking space and then use the fact that something fell out of her crotch as an excuse.

Would have also told her to get back to her own space. I Would be keeping an eye out for her in future she will no doubt try this again.

Tell her where to go. If this happened to me I would not be amused and would tell her to do one out of principle.

If however she approached me in person and ASKED if we could PLEASE swap spaces because of X reason, I might have said yes.

No, it's yours. What next? Can I have your 3 bed flat because I only have a 2 bed but have kids.

What happens in 5 years time when she's moved on and the new occupant thinks your space belongs to them, and you want to sell up? It sounds like your space is in a better location and thus is more desirable so clearly you want to advertise it as such. You can probably do without the stress when this comes about and it will.

I think you should meet with her OP, see what she has to say/do.
