Mad Max: Fury Road

I do really hope most of the FX are stunts and actual work and not CGI.. I know CGI is sometimes hard to tell apart from real life but the trailers I have seen look very real to me.

According to Nicholas Holt, it's almost all proper live action rather than CGI.

Will either be great or gash

Correct.

Is there only me who feels that most of the vehicles are just plain wrong in so much as they are far too aesthetic rather than being gritty and cobbled together?

Other than that it looks brilliant!

This movie is getting amazing reviews so far. Many saying its a new action classic and its at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes at the moment with a 9.2 average.

Looking forward to this, I know my wife will like it too but she hasn't seen the originals. Is it worth us watching 1 and 2 beforehand? I'd rather not have to watch Thunderdome unless it was really required :)

Watched through them again last week to re familiarise, 2 is the only one i'd get her to watch. 1 is really dull by today's standards and 3 is terri-bad.

I've not seen any and was going to watch all 3. I can tollerate a pants movie if its entertaining.

I'd just watch all 3, I quite like the first one as it's just well nuts lol. 2nd is probs best and 3rd well why not?

Far too aesthetic compared to what though? The original movies? In which case I'd argue that the originals were too cobbled together and people would have done a better job than that.

If it's your first time i'd suggest watching all 3. As for me I have fond memories of the whole trilogy from my younger years. Watching 1 & 3 a short while ago made me realise the memory was better than the movies :(

Had the afternoon off to go and watch. What a lovely day !

Amazing , still have a huge grin from the utterly bonkers film i've just seen. Tom Hardy isnt quite as good a Max as Mel , but thats fine , its a pretty high watermark and everthing else more than compensates.
