This forum on a phone is a disaster.

The search drop-down has never worked for me, regardless of the mobile device I've used. As soon as I touch the text box, the drop-down vanishes. Always end up having to use advanced search.

Tapatalk is garbage.

I use this forum as part of my job. This means I spend significantly more time on it than OP.

Most of the time outside of office hours from mobile devices.
If your phone doesn't display this forum or other websites well enough then it is perhaps time to upgrade.

The only thing that doesn't work on a tablet are those free offers that require a mouse cursor hovering over them, before they display information.

On my scrub 4" screen (5s) it requires a lot of zooming in to browse and navigate, but on larger displays and certainly tablets I much prefer the 'desktop view'. Some mobile sites are atrocious.

If using chrome turn text scaling to 50% under accessibility options and force enable zoom.

Why does each post have a different font size ffs on android?? Zooming in and out to be able to read the menus isn't a wonderful experience.

That depends on your browser. I use the Android browser on my tablet and it works fine.

I haven't had any issues using iOS or android devices.

I prefer this layout to tapatalk where some places lock you out of a desktop view.

I hate mobile sites with a passion so few are well written.

I've never had any issue on iOS, but as above mobile sites are pretty useless IMO.

Pretty bad experience and much prefer tapatalk. Amazed that there so much hate for it, as it cuts out all the BS and just gives you what you need without resizing constantly.

Using Chrome on my Moto X 2nd gen I can't use the 'search' function. No idea why.

even most standard forum software has an optional built in mobile theme these days for goodness sake.

OcUk members in general (to me at least) seem to defend any shortcomings of the forum despite it's issues. It's like an old school refusal to move the the times mentality.

I like the content here sure, but considering this is an IT forum it's pretty backwards.

Fix search period, its total gash and the worst search function I've ever used.
Other than that the forums are fine and work perfectly on my phone.
