Kung Fury has finally been released and for those who backed the project or have no idea about the film it's basically one big 30 minute 80's over the top action comedy by David Sandberg and was made in Sweden.

You can watch the film here:

David Hasselhoff was part of the project and released a single called "True Survivor":

It's utterly brilliant so well made it deserves the attention! I hope this gains wide appeal and David develops a feature length film.

Ah, fantastic. :D

Edit: Damn I was hoping for more.

Looking forward to a sequel. Some cringeworthy scenes (ie the Triceratops police officer...) and some awesome scenes - that 2D fight sequence was amazing.)

Watched this last night, couldn't fault it....so many nods to the films of my childhood.

It was kind of like watching my own mind on film lol.

thanks thought this was a long way off to getting complete !

thank you power of the internet and group effort !

hah, lordy lordy, that was awesome! :D

Distilled 80's cheese, and the Hoff, what more could you want from such a retro homage to all that was great about action movies back then?

bravo.

I saw this this morning when the game came up in my Steam discovery queue. Boy am I glad. It's 110% classic 80s cheesyness and I loved it. Hope there's more. There has to be a sequel since...
Hitler is still around in the end
Everyone who loves the 80s and 80s movies needs to watch this. It made me think how cool a Far Cry Blood Dragon movie would be. Though Corridor Digital did do the short trailer for it. A shame we don't get movie like this these days. What are Hollywood doing?

great little movie, reminds me of the sort of humor from Kung Pow, some proper laugh out loud moments and some proper talent on show from these guys

This is one of the best movies I've ever seen about the 80's, my child hood memories in 30 minutes, woosh!!!

I hope they make a sequel, I'll help fund that in a heart beat.
The young man who made this has done a wonderful job.;)

Was pretty awesome, did not expect them to finish it so soon as I only discovered the trailer a few weeks back thanks to this forum!

Having watched the distilled comedy epic awesomeness of the trailer about 50 times straight, it was a bit strange to see the story being opened out with some room to breathe, with some new puns that didn't quite hit the nail for me (tricerocop, really?). But absolute quality ideas packed into that 30 mins nonetheless and easily crushed any recent comedy films I've seen.
