I My main problem is eyes/migraines. I'm stupidly sensitive, I still get loads of migraines anyway .
Bit Off topic sorry.

Not sure if you have ever thought about it but has anyone ever suggested taking Vitamin D and Magnesium supplements for the migraines?

I used to get lots of really bad headaches and migraines then someone suggested trying VIt D and magnesium supplement... But since I started taking the Vitamin D and Magnesium supplements I hardly ever get headaches now and when I do there nowhere near as bad as they used to be.

AMD better have something special up their sleeves or I fear the worst for them now after reading the 980ti reviews, seems it's close to TitanX performance and probably going to be much much cheaper. Damn you AMD for sucking so much and letting Nvidia run riot, I don't want to become an Nvidiot and have to buy the over priced gsync screens :(

I have this terrible feeling that the new AMD cards are going to be terrible as well

Mmm, I don't think AMD loyalists should be sobbing just yet. The question has to be why Nvidia have decided to kneecap the Titan X after a couple of months and offer the 980 Ti at such a good price and so close in terms of performance. One explanation could be that they know that Fury (or whatever) is going to be good, and as such want to lock people in before AMD reveal it.

Actually a lot of the reviews of the GTX980TI seem to be hinting that Fiji might be good.

Even the Hexus one says the following:

Within two weeks we'll bear witness to partner-clocked cards that tease the most out of the second-generation Maxwell architecture, and we fully expect the cream of this crop to be faster than the reference Titan X in every regard. Whether such speed will be good enough to hold on to the single-GPU crown in the face of imminent upcoming competition from the Fiji-infused Radeon R9 390X is one of the more interesting debates in the premium PC graphics space.

Bit-tech

With the R9 390X expected by the end of June, there's little reason to part with your cash right now if you're shopping for a high-end GPU. This is clearly an awesome card, but nonetheless our advice is to take note of the various GTX 980 Ti cards that come out and then see what AMD brings to the table before making your choice.

Anandtech

It goes without saying that NVIDIA has given AMD a very high bar to beat, but AMD has proven to be quite resourceful in the past, so it shall be interesting to see just what AMD’s response is to the GTX 980 Ti.

As for this moment, the high-end video card market is essentially in a holding pattern. The GeForce GTX 980 Ti is a fine card for the price – a GTX Titan X for $649 – however with AMD’s new flagship card on the horizon buyers are likely better off waiting to see what AMD delivers before making such a purchase, if only to see if it further pushes down video card prices.

The Tech Report

Then again, prospective buyers may want to wait a few weeks, because AMD is preparing its own next-gen GPU, code-named Fiji, to do battle with the GM200. We already know Fiji will feature an innovative memory type, known as HBM, that promises quite a bit more throughput than any of Nvidia's current products. That advantage could make Fiji rather formidable when all is said and done. At the very least, things are about to get interesting. Nvidia has played a strong hand, and now it's up to AMD to counter.

TPU

And then there is the big unknown variable in form of AMD's upcoming Fiji cards, which could change things dramatically, so definitely wait on purchase until those cards are released.

I think if Fiji was a dud, there would be none of this hinting happening IMHO!

i think it was kind of nice of nvidia to go first^^;
they could have waited for amd so easily
next few weeks should be nerdy heaven! :)

Really want AMD to drop an epic card just so the market becomes competitive again and AMD get some barker share, drivers are still poor though :/

Single card drivers are great from my experience.

Thats also assuming people keep updating their drivers every week. Heck,I am still running on 344.11 for my current NV card. Its stable,it does the job! Not going to care if I get another 3% performance and I am running a much slower card than the performance freaks here!!:p

I am confused, are you trying to say you have to update AMD drivers more than NVIDIA to get good single card performance?

My other half is still running 14.4 on her 7950 and hasn't had any problems at all.
