Answer: Yes. When you use a Rockstar Activation Code to activate a copy of GTAV PC, your Social Club account becomes entitled to access the game, whether you choose to install and use the DVD version, buy the game from a digital retailer that hosts its own GTAV download, or download from the GTAV PC Social Club Activation page. Also, the Rockstar Activation Code included in a new physical version of GTAV PC can be used to download the game from Social Club (for example, if your Internet and DVD speeds mean downloading would be faster than installing from discs; or, if you accidentally damage one of your discs in the future).

I've somehow managed to lose my Rockstar save folder in the process though and have lost 30 hours of gameplay :( :( :(

Its a long shot, but you could try using Recuva and hope none of the files have been written over yet.

Not sure how it works but I thought cheating was limited to free roam only and not instanced events like races etc. Joined a race earlier out of boredom and saw a Zentornado shoot off the line into the distance like no mans business. I have an almost maxxed out entity and came in 2nd whilst this guy finished a full minute ahead of everyone. Can't believe it.
 
Anyone know how many personal vehicles you have to kill in what time frame to become a bad sport? I'm a but worried that I'll be labelled one as it can be difficult not to destroy peoples cars when yore strafing the city in a hydra.

Still not sure why that specific action should label you a bad sport, especially since you have to pay for the vehicle. You can destroy as many non personal cars as you want for free!

Also not sure what they expect us to do when people are rocking around in zarumas can't really shoot them with bullets so exploding their car seems preferable to dying.

Oh that sucks, I thought the bad sport thing was for people leaving game sessions early, shirley everything else in game is game on? It is GTA after all.
 
Apparently bad sport, according to reddit doesn't exist at this time. I've read reports of players mindlessly killing others and their personal vehicles without any repercussion at all even though they received that message. Hell you might get a 2k reward for being a good sport afterwards.

I got the good sport bonus last night whilst in the middle of running over everyone on the beach! :D

There is a youtube video of a guy testing out the theory of bad sport, he is blowing up everybody's car to see how many it is to get bad sport. he gives up.

OK, good, I only destroy maybe 4 or 5 a day if that, I guess I shouldn't be worried :)

If anyone is interested will probably be doing the whole of humane labs again tonight, generally pretty easy going for the payout, with OCUK guys on the mic should be a walk in the park.

OH, need to mention hacking again, past few days there weren't actually that many around then yesterday there was a spate of people spawning vehicles, blowing everyone up, pushing me out of my hydra :( oh and giving everyone in the server every gun available/unavailable.

That railgun is awesome :D

Seems a bit weird to me that one person can affect everyones clients so easily and extensively, at one point everyone was running around giving their clone a piggyback. My mate likened his experience of flying off into the sunset in a purple police car with no driver to an acid trip.
