Just look at most of the TX owners across various forums, they act like they don't care about the 980ti and nvidia more or less giving them the fingers but really you can tell that they are pretty peeved of by some of their posts, if price wasn't an issue for the nvidia posh club then why get annoyed? :p

From what I've seen none of them seem annoyed?

You don't spend £900 on a GPU if you expect price/performance, everyone knew a cutdown card was coming anyway, just didn't know when.

It's put me off buying into the Titan branding again but I'm perfectly happy with my card and the price I paid, if I wasn't I'd sell up, buy a 980ti and pocket the £100-200 change.

I still haven't seen a TX on the MM.

Edit: Ones just cropped up as a write that :D

^^ So far it looks like I'll be using TX until 8GB HBM cards arrive, or maybe I'll just skip Fiji and wait until 14nm cards next year. I do really like this TX, I just wish I had the Hybrid version.

August? they having a laugh.

Nvidia's CEO just flat out said that HBM was to expensive (Nvidia's profits must be huge) to put on their GPU's this year and that HBM 2 would bring better pricing.

So 4GB HBM for AMD might be really pricey and they don't want to come straight out with 8GB due to cost, and pricing VS competition.

AMD are going to find it difficult to sell a 400 Watt 4GB card slower than a 980TI for anything more than £400

Everything is wrong with that ^^^^

Its a 980 Competitor.

If % price was relative to % in performance I'd get the most expensive card. I look at the game I'll be playing most, the resolution I run and select the card/cards I need to run it at 60fps.

If a new game doesnt run well on a particular manufacturer then the game dev loses out as I'll play it when it's fixed at a reduced price.

There are various levels of folk taht can configure a PC correctly. Anyone can slap a few components into MOBOS. But Nvidia are the apple of GFx cards where AMD are the andriod. Those that can configure and dont mind messing about will buy AMD. Those that aren't too great at configuration and problem solving will buy Nvidia. AMD for those that can - Nvidia for those that...well can't.

Well some of your posts come across as being annoyed :p In the previous 980ti thread when people were saying things like TX killer, wow TX owners must be annoyed etc. you were posting and defending the TX and TX users, at least that is how your posts came across to me anyway...

Surely your comment, "I'll never go for a titan brand card again" says it all? If you didn't care and were happy with the titan brand/card, then why say that?

And yes there are a few people who genuinely don't seem to care but I honestly can't believe that they don't care "at all" unless money really isn't an issue for them or they just love nvidia no matter what.

I think if the TX had been out for a good bit longer, the annoyed tx owners wouldn't have minded as much, 2 months (?) is an incredibly short time even for the tech. world.

There are other forums where people are posting about them being ****ed at what nvidia have done, will link later as I am posting this from my phone.

EDIT:

and yes, I doubt you will see many TX owners selling their card(s) on (at least not on the likes of the MM on here) for a couple of reasons:

- they will make a huge loss "overall"
- no need to as the card is still a better performer overall, even if the difference is extremely minor atm...

Why even try to compete with 980 at this point. AMD is a year late to that game.

Go compete with Titanx and 980ti

Has anyone ever thought to think what is taking AMD so long to release a single card?

are they having issues with HBM? One would think release a 380x or so. Give them some time to work more on 390x while still getting sales.

Or even release the 390x or whatever they will call it and then work on something more powerful. Just use the NVIdia model of releasing cards.

The article states the "full fat 8GB" variant will be August but the 4GB version (non X Fury I am guessing) will still be soon.

Nice level of BS in that post.

Lets hear what magical next level tweaks AMD users are performing then to get more performance? You mean they can double click a program and select a different option from a drop down menu or copy paste some lines off a web page into .ini file.

I think you'll find nVidia users do that as well.

Bought a PC from Aldi years ago it was a Medion PC with a Pentium 4 @3.4ghz Windows XP 512mb of ram and a ATI 9700 GPU.

See you can get some good stuff in Aldi :D lol
