I reckon it'll all be good. I think the 390/390X will be at least competitive with the 980Ti/TitanX and will be priced more reasonably than people are expecting (albeit a little more expensive than we're used to from AMD due to HBM and possibly AIO).

I hope there are 8gb cards widely available at a competitive price. Buying a high end card with 4gb would not sit comfortably with me. Rumours are just rumours until the specs are officially released.
So when Nvidia were running 3.5gb it was cool but if we get 4gb cards it's a disaster? I know it's a bit later on but not everyone who's buying the cards are looking at 4k, seems like people are always just flip flopping to act like AMD is doing it wrong. When Nvidia had less ram it was no issue, when Nvidia had worse price it was no issue, when Nvidia has worse anything it seems to not matter until AMD are on the other end and people can complain at them :?

Either way I'm sure it'll be fine, I would prefer more ram than 4gb but if that's all it had then I agree I wouldn't want to pay current prices for it but it'd come down eventually and no point in getting too silly over rumours.

I think the issue is atm you can get a 8gb flagship amd card so it would be silly for the next gen flagship to only have 4gb

Death by throttling?

I mean unlike amd at least they give us decent drivers...

Going by the nvidia drivers thread, they've been pretty ropey as of late as well. So much for Rev Lebaradian from nvidia saying that their drivers "just work" (Apple wants its dated slogan back). If that's the case why have a support forum for driver issues?

Supposedly the new Drivers fix the issues the 780/780ti users were having, not tested it yet though.

Trouble is now we've entered DNF/Daikatana/HL3 territory.

Been waiting so long, competition has moved on and expectations are high.

Not sure AMD can deliver. Preparing for imminent (or not) disappointment.
