I know you guys love teasers, well here's another.

Feel really sorry for you Matt because you are only allowed to feed things that we have already known for a month or so. Is there much point in telling people what we already know? It must feel a bit stupid. I would hate it to be honest.

So...... hate to say i told you all it would be 4gb only to begin with. Expect amd to tell you that you dont need more than 4gb right now and i agree so see no issue but i know there is a bunch of people on these forums that think the more memory the better regardless of cost you can never have enough. To all those people i say my 3gb 780ti manages 4k just fine.

Expect amd to talk about texture compression and smart memory management i expect to try to appeal to those that worry about memory capacity.

Yeah i do think that amd do miss a fair amount of sales by letting nvidia get there first. How many people can afford a 980ti and a fury? Not many so those that couldnt wait have already spent that pot of cash. Is waiting worth losing that amount of sales made to nvidia by the time fury hits in 2 weeks. 2 weeks of sales is probably substantial at the start? But in the grand scheme who knows?

You forget that a lot of people who buy these cards demand the best and are happy to switch instantly when something faster comes out.

Well if its 4Gb I can understand why they don't want anyone to know, no good for me for 4K gaming, oh Amd what have you done, the worlds fastest 4Gb card, underwhelmed to be honest, had to be 8Gb minimum out first. :(

I hope these cards are really good. Went with 2x 980 Tis but need AMD to keep Nvidia in check.

4 GB launch is odd though, surely AMD's top cards will have way too much grunt for only 4 GB VRAM? Or maybe they won't launch their top tier cards until later?

june 26th i think

Am expecting this launch to be quite big tbh... E3 the biggest gaming convention on the planet and amd choose this for announcing there new line up..

Am getting excited about this now.

June 16th at E3 Si, expect a lot more info from us then. :)

Good timing as I'll be out of the country again so will avoid the disappointment. :p

It never hurts to actually read the news.
4gb at start, 8gb in august

Well, I expect you to have lost enough customers to fill a couple of football stadiums* :P

Seriously, the ONLY things we know about the card with now are that it's factory AIO water cooled, uses HBM and to begin with will have 33.3% less VRAM than the 980ti.

AMD are mishandling this launch so badly the North Korean space agency is laughing at them...

*Not actually a joke, the 980ti is selling thousands of units a day, over 14 days that will fill a few stadiums.

And this answers my questions how? We don't know if the 8 GB variant will be identical in every other way to the initial 4 GB ones. If they are, going for only 4 GB seems silly. I'm assuming these will rival Titan X performance in which case 4 GB is low for having that much grunt.

Aye but point is 4Gb launch card is a big fail and that's how it will be portrayed, look at Nvidia 12Gb card first and then the 6Gb to follow, selling bucket loads while Amd have been selling very little for 3 months now, cannot be good. Marketing has always been Amd's weakness, when you launch a new card you don't parade the gimped version first whilst your biggest , sorry only competitor is doing the opposite, I just don't get the strategy here.

Anyway gotta go to work. :D

Wow just wow... Everyone going on about uhhh releasing only 4gb... Come from under your rock and have a read youll find some very good info that tells you otherwise or points towards more likley 8gb cards are going to come rather than 4gb only. Not going to find it for you because I took the effort to look and read and put my questioning mind at rest instead of just regurgitating the same old fud on the forum...

I was under the impression they were launching Fiji with 4GB first, with 8GB some time later... If that is incorrect, well, consider me corrected!
