I can drive 'provisionally' any size motorcycle with or without sidecar.
Does that mean 'just add L plates'?
You need to take a BLT test.
CBT as well.
If you passed your car test before a certain time I think it was 1999 then you don't even legally need to do a CBT.
I was under the impression that you were only exempt from doing CBT if it was a moped.
.gov website said:Moped licence requirements
A moped MUST have an engine capacity not exceeding 50 cc, not weigh more than 250kg and be designed to have a maximum speed not exceeding 28mph (45 km/h). Before June 2003 a licence allowed the riding of mopeds up to 50km/h.
To ride a moped, learners MUST
be 16 or over
have a provisional moped licence
complete CBT training.
You MUST first pass the theory test for motorcycles and then the moped practical test to obtain your full moped licence. If you passed your car driving test before 1 February 2001 you are qualified to ride a moped without L plates (and/or D plates in Wales), although it is recommended that you complete CBT before riding on the road. If you passed your car driving test after this date you MUST complete CBT before riding a moped on the road.
Every time I enter my details it says they are incorrect, which they are not!
Tried upper case, lower, space in postcode, no space in postcode, still the same error.
I guess I must be doing something wrong but lord knows what!
I really fancy some bacon now...
Vehicles you can provisionally drive

You can drive any size motorbike, with or without a sidecar
What does this mean? I can ride a motorbike with L plates? Presumably after doing a CBT?
This could motivate me to buy some old British iron. If I can L-plate it and ride it solo until I pass the test. For CBT I would borrow a 125.
EDIT Passed my car test in 1970.
