I'm hating the AMD drivers on my second build so looking to switch out my 7950 for a NV card...

Nothing by NV touches the gtx 780 at this price point does it ?

It is the best nv card at that sort of money. Next step up is a 970. Which tbh isn't that much better but will cost a fair chunk more.

Yeah that's what I thought...it's for a second system so it doesn't need to be cutting edge ...:)

Plus the the 970 only has 500mb more ram :p

Worth buying it mate I sold my 780ti kingpin but ive now bought it back as its a good clocker and I payed for the 5 yr warranty on it and it will do me for a few years yet.

What is so wrong with AMD drivers?

I have both an Nvidia powered gaming laptop, and an AMD powered desktop, and I really don't get what the big thing is about AMD drivers, beyond alledgedly poor crossfire support.....but I wouldn't touch dual GPU with a bargepole so........

I wouldn't say it's cheap. I bought a 290 for £135 about six months ago and it was every bit as fast, or faster, than a 780 and had more VRAM.

It's OK. You'll still get good performance out of it so long as Nvidia don't pull any more of their driver derping stunts.
