I still cant believe Shenmue 3 is a thing - how the **** did that happen, why the **** didnt it happen quicker!
Shenmue kickstarter already over $700.000 and climbing fast. That is insane..
I think the first two were like $20million+ (actually a lot more but cant remember the figures) so I cant see how they can do it for $2 million...

Fanbase, it's HUGE, they would have done their market research.

EDIT: Dust off my Dreamcast and complete 2 finally now I know 3 is coming :) If that's an exclusive with a solid release date I'll be stroking my PS4 before I go to bed, maybe even *kiss* it.

I imagine the kickstarter could reach about 3 - 5 million by it's end date July 18th. Plus they will have sponsors and other deals as a source of revenue.

It's already at 800,000+ and it's day one lol. Crazy stuff.

If I get around to getting into and feeling the *Magic* of 4 on my PS4 TV, then if the critics and you are right, I would keep it for any triple A JRPG exclusive.

It took me two tries before it clicked but it really is fantastic once it does.

Makes me sad that I'm keeping a console just for one game though. :p

FF7 I would guess they are aiming for a 20th anniversary release in 2017.

Sony had far more things that interested me (and with plenty that didn't like CoD, Destiny etc.), where as MS was mostly the same old crap (halo, forza, gears etc.) that I've played since 2006 on 360. Also couldn't give a toss over backwards compatibility, but I suppose it's better to have something rather than not having it, I already own a 360 and my PC has much more backwards compatibility with emulators.

Now I'm just curious to what the PC conference has.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sony will be one of the main backers.
I just pledged $175 as I wanted the art book.

I really like that Microsoft aren't going to charge you to play your old games though ;) ha.

Sony had more of interest to me, despite Call of Duty, Destiny and Assassins Creed.

I'll give it another chance, the "velvet room" sort of muddles with my mind! I am curious, played it 3 times so far but not on the full screen, and I just can't get into it obviously on my Vita.

Sooo after Call of Duty Advanced Warfare(on the PS4) I'll give it a good go :)

Sonys conference was just.... Meh to me. They gave everyone what they wanted which is fine but they are years away. Shenmue is a 2017 release of people are lucky as is FF7 probably. Just a little disappointing from all sides so far for me.

Fallout mods are ace though

Wow, I wish I stayed up now.

Its almost like im still asleep actually, the last guardian, shenmue, ff7 announced at the same show.

Uncharted was jaw dropping, I think its lucky that Tomb Raider is being released 1st as if they with both Q4 of this year then on a head to head TR would fair so well with reviews, sales etc.

This looked a level above TR and I have TR on pre order. Not going to change that as TR will be a good game but its a stop gap for this. Plus those visuals, unreal!

I want to back Shenmue 3 for the physical version but I don't want to spend $30 more on some cheap tacky box as it currently looks on Kickstarter. I'd love it to come with two jewel cases in a nice slip case with art that fits nicely with the originals so it looked nice next to my copies of Shenmue 1 & 2. Having it in a standard DVD case will look crap in my opinion.

Ive only just realised that thats only one part of a single 'level' - Uncharted 4 isnt open-world but that whole demo wasnt a corridor (well it kinda was ;))...

After watching it a few times I'm still gobsmacked by the visuals. The textures, lighting, and effects are outstanding. So much going on but the frame rate doesnt budge much. Very impressive.

Really showed the power of the PS4
