Which car to promote my business? Decals/Vinyl's will be fitted.

+1

Hell I'll put it in my sig.
Honoured :D

Anyway, back to the thread:

Seeing an Ambassador advertising an Indian takeaway would properly catch my eye, but how difficult they are get hold of and running costs are another matter.
Most people won't care whether it's a sporty version (Abarth) in comparison to a standard version, so unless you want something nicer to drive as it's what you'll be driving then I wouldn't bother spending the extra.

Because it was another one of your crap, thinly veiled attempts at forum high horsery and rather than the poster allowing you to take yet another thread on a 'how much money does Elliott/Elliott's Parents have' off topic rampage, this poster just decided to tell you to shut up.

which is exactly what you need to be told every time you get elitist about whatever marque you have a hardon for at the time.

German cars may be "premium" but they are as common as muck. BMW's, Audi's etc are everywhere.

Yeah I agree

To be fair, when daddy's buying, wgaf?

???

Since you're running a business, which involves a lot of variables i believe you should consider a SUV which is reliable and comfortable and practical. you might consider carspring.co.uk as these guys are offering pre-inspected cars for sale and i was recommended this website by a friend who just got her Audi listed there for free. hope this helps
Yes a website with a total of 40 cars - nice attempt at an ad though ;)

I think you'd have far more success with a cheap runabout for yourself and the remainder of your budget toward proper advertising.

I have a few local takeaways, they all advertise by getting random types to mail shot menus around the local area, I tend to use one who I have a menu leaflet to hand.

If your relying on people seeing your wrapped car, be it a Fiesta or Ferrari, you'll not have much custom.

Oh sod off Elliot

:D

I'd probably go for a smart in this case. Not sure what they are like in the reliability stakes (used for delivery? lot of miles?) but certainly would tick a lot of boxes. If you use it to deliver then I imagine small would be a huge benefit so you can park it anywhere without issue.

I think the point others are making is that if you already have a car for business then £250pcm would have a higher return through (for example) mailshot as it's quite a decent chunk of change but if you need a car anyway then combining a car with a one time brand covering may meet multiple goals and be good. It would obviously depend on what your goal is with the £250 a month. I don't think people are trying to be mean just offer insight.

I thought the only people actually did this was so you could claim extra back from the tax man for it? No one really pays attention to the details on a company vehicle unless they get cut up.

My brother in law had his driving school details printed on his last car, he said over the years only 1 student actually got his details from the side of the car. Everyone else came from the other forms of advertising he does. The new car he has is pretty plain now because it wasn't worth the effort. No idea if it's different/same with takeaways though :)

I'm pretty sure the OP is not relying on the car as his only advertising and has said he is already leafleting the local area.

Wrapping a vehicle is very cheap advertising and is a no brainer, particularly if you are using it as a delivery vehicle.

It does provide a poor return for many businesses but I think for an Indian take away it will work well enough to provide a decent return.

Not that it makes a difference, but I've seen quite a few cars with businesses slapped on the side of them. It personally wouldn't make me any more willing to go with that company.. then again, if I want a takeaway I'd go with whatever's cheapest on Justeat or the like.

My own car/delivery car. Cactus looks interesting.

Just to reiterate this is not my only form of advertising the way I see it I need a car and stickers/wrap is cheap so why not? All i'll be doing is plastering the logo/website and telephone over it.

Personally I think you have two options, either a small super-mini. Both the 500 and Smart look great when well wrapped (not just a single logo but full vehicle wrap).

Failing that I would be looking for as much 'estate' as possible - what about a smaller van. Like a Fiat Fiorino or Nemo.

Only other thought is what about a fully electric car, if it is going to be used for deliveries this makes things somewhat cheaper, and will handle multidrops well (not that it matters if its a lease). Branded Leaf :)
