Woman eats cereal while driving her Land Rover

She's likely been doing that route for months/years & knows the conditions... hence knows she can take her breakfast with her without causing any trouble to anyone. Did she cause an accident? No... so STFU.

Case and point:

You can  me all you want. You need to be in control of a vehicle at all times. If she has that habit formed then she probably does other things whilst driving that divert her attention.

Doing so in stop-start traffic doesn't excuse the behaviour.

IIRC... the highway code states you must have one hand on the steering wheel at all times... I don't see her breaking any rules. Her eyes happen to be on the road, also ;)

She's probably been in stop-start traffic since she left her home... I see nothing dangerous there... I'd be tempted to run that cyclist off the road and steal his ****y camera...

Hahahahahahahahahaha :D

Unless you ride a motorcycle or a bicycle on the road you have no right to give your opinion on what's safe, If you even get tapped by a 2 ton vehicle it will knock you down and cause serious injury, The chances of the driver even noticing a small noise while distracted isn't very high at all.

The only reason these cyclists are posting these videos is because they encounter this every single day and nothing happens, A Camera is needed just for insurance suppose if anything because a good bicycle is not cheap! £1000+

Anyone who says its safe to be distracted in slow moving traffic has never been hit by vehicle, its a serious problem on our roads!

LMAO... his riding is more dangerous than her driving... he pulls out into the middle of the road without looking... could easily have caused a motorcycle to go in to the back of him... then he cuts back across traffic that he knows to be moving without checking to turn off into a junction. Then when he turns off, cuts across the road again without looking, does a u-turn in front of oncoming traffic etc... would see sooooo satisfying to report the cyclist asshat to the police and get him a citation :D

Cop sees a car or real bike doing that and you're getting a ticket...

Aye, also think about the amount of times cyclists overtake people on the inside lane.

No movement = munch munch munch... movement = don't touch the ****ing bowl... simples?

I'm a motorbike rider... I know what it's like... you suddenly turn invisible to other road users... especially, for some reason, blondes in SUVs. Which it why, when you decide to ride such a vehicle... you have to take that responsibility for other road users, simply for your own protection. Every time I got on my bike, there was at least 1 incident of blind numptyness that could have knocked me off it... but I was aware and took notice of their numptyness... didn't like it, didn't enjoy it... just knew from experience that it was going to happen.

Too often... I had a year and a half of commuting in a mid-sized van from Luton to central london.

Even if you are indicating to turn left, the sods will still choose to undertake you.

So many of them have no road awareness... like the one in the OP/video... and yet I would have been the one in trouble if I'd turned into one hiding in my blind spot, despite indicating for a more than appropriate time frame / distance.

If he's been obeying the rules himself, then I may have had more sympathy for him.

That's what I thought of as well :p

All it takes is 1 second for a accident to happen and the usual excuse for the car driver is "I didn't see you"

This is the wrong attitude to driving.

usually its not until one of your relatives or friends dies or gets seriously injured from a accident that people realise how dangerous this can be.

So you're saying that eating a bowl of cereal isn't a distraction? Are you this woman's husband or something? Never seen someone defend someone's stupidity so feverently.

No movement = munch munch munch... movement = don't touch the ****ing bowl... simples?

So where does the bowl go in the meantime? In her lap? Hope she doesn't want to use the pedals any time soon..

Yeah because every single time you drive, every other road user is going to act in exactly the same way as yesterday and road conditions never change in the UK.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

No... just someone who is feddup of idiots like you helping to enforce the peculiar nanny state crap that is supposedly trying to protect us from ourselves.

Nothing happened... all the people who have a problem are the ones supposing she killed a child or ran over an old granny without noticing. She does something stupid like that? Sure... kick her in the arse... in traffic jams like that you could play your part in the philharmonic and nothing bad would happen.

I could drive down the motorway at 120mph+ spinning the cereal bowl on my middle finger while waving it at the people going slower & eating from it & no accident would happen... grrr.

Perhaps you are just such a terrible driver that you don't contemplate other people might be able to do such a thing as eat a bowl of cereal while the vehicle is stationary and not blow the world up??

True story
The worst I saw was my next door but one neighbour who had got 3 kids in the car with no seat belts on and she'd got a fag in her mouth while her right hand was holding a mug of tea (and I think a slice of toast) and her left hand was holding a phone to her ear.
