****Official OcUK Fury X Review Thread****

That's one out of ten.

EDIT: Never mind, just saw the pre-order ones are £509. That's much better, still wouldn't call it amazing or anything. 980 Ti's are going in the low £500s too.

wtf man

Do you not see the 980 Ti cards are on this week only special offer to match the pre-order price of the Fury cards?

After this week only offer goes off the Ti cards will be back up to 550-570 ish while the Fury cards will be STARTING at 509.

The first cards have a jacked up price because limited stock.

The performance is a bit down on the 980Ti right now, but I expect AMD to release new stable drivers soon which will boost performance of the Fury and 300 series cards.

So many people on here suggested this would destroy the TX! LOL

A new card almost as fast as the ones NV have been selling for months. Thats progress for you... or not.

Just noticed in reviews it's using a fair bit more power than even a TX?

If HBM power savings were used to allow more power to the core then why is it still behind when using more power.

I bought into the hype and just like Episode I'm left disappointed. No DVI, No HDMI 2, 4Gb of VRAM on a top on card, unexceptional performance, why do AMD do this to themselves every time?

Bring back ATI!!

Thats what I dont understand about amd, they seem to think its ok to release products without stable drivers. When nvidia release cards the drivers are there ready and waiting to go, yes throughout its lifespan they make tweaks and improvements but ive hardly ever seen comments with a nvidia release saying dont worry in 6 months the working drivers will be here

Because AMD are still using the same ineffective GNC 1.2 architecture, the only improvements come from HBM memory alone.

HBM IMO has worked miracles dragging the bloat of GNC to actual compete against Nvidia's 980Ti trim maxwell design. Just imagine if Nvidia choose to build a 28nm Maxwell with HBM, AMD might as well not have even bothered with the Fury.

It should be AT LEAST £60 cheaper than the Ti, always. Less VRAM, AIO requirement, and very little crossfire appeal due to the 4 GB VRAM. And let's be honest, Nvidia command a higher price point on brand alone. This has been the case for years, and people still rush to buy their product as the 'premium' choice.

It's a good price, just not great, as I originally said.

People say this every time regarding drivers improving performance, but when have we seen wholesale improved performance in the region of >5% in recent launches. My Titan X performs within 1-2fps of the launch drivers.
