Attack on Tunisian hotel

Western meddling has fuelled resentment towards the west, you can't deny this.

You realise they've been at it ever since the religion of Islam was born in blood? We had a few hundred years of relative peace thanks to the west having much more superior armies but now thanks to the age of globalisation hostilities are resuming and guess what, they don't need an army. It's a clash of cultures and will continue until one culture achieves total dominance of the other. So while I'm sure it's true that the enemy says they're attacking due to western meddling in Muslim lands, the reality is they'd be attacking us anyway whatever we do. We don't need to change - they do.

Course invasions of their lands, outright murder of some civilians apart from the usual casualties of war, imposing foreign corrupt governments on them etc, etc, etc has absolutely nothing to do with it.

As usual this is a political purpose using religion to help its aims but people will focus on the religious element rather than the root causes. Of course it suits the perpetrators to encourage this view.

/shrug - they started it.

Agreed, and of course total dominance doesn't even involve firing a gun if the opposition is outbred. The days of Christianity in Europe are over and it's only a matter of time until Islam pervades every government just like in Lebanon.

You say that as if it is a valid excuse for people to then gun innocent people down whilst sunbathing on a beach..

Some might say it is only like for like after we (by which I mean our governments), blew up their whole country and killed many innocent civillians.

Are you serious? Egypt and Turkey will be on the very unsafe for Britain's to visit shortly.

Jeebus.....

That part of Turkey so far has been relatively safe.

Turkey has been calming down quite abit. From what I can gather only some regions of Turkey are bad, if we all sat worrying about terrorism no one would go out there door. I want a holiday and I have been recommended were I'm going as it's a lovely place to go with plenty to do. If it kicks off or gets dangerous we just come home.

Reality is now were do young Brits go if ibiza, Spain etc isn't your thing and you don't have lots of cash for a holiday.

Dunno about costs but unless Spain is really really not your thing there are a fair few islands that make up the Balearics around where Ibiza is with a whole range of things to do - i.e. you can rent a villa, etc on parts of Mallorca and have a completely different experience to the whole "Magaluf" thing. Probably appeal more to people who just want some sunshine and a nice beach/bit of countryside though than someone who wants to explore somewhere foreign.

Rationalising it/explaining it not excusing it. There is a difference.

Except you're not doing that. You're saying because someone else did something bad it's now ok for these people to do something bad. You are justifying their actions.
I bet if I went and shot a load of innocent Muslims you wouldn't be sat there saying 'well you know, they did kill a fair few Brits first'.

You do realise that's another muslim country?

Yes.
Im not scared of going to a muslim country, if it wasnt so soon id still go to tunisia! But with it being so close and the fact they have recently gone after brits within tunisia i won't go.

We just want sun, Sea doesn't matter but if i could get to it we would do a day by the seaside. Waterpark is a big bonus as i love waterparks also.
Id of said Greece but with the whole euro situation i wanted to avoid it.

Everywere is classed as a danger zone really when u look at it.
Im going to oludeniz which is 1300km from Syrian border, And the hotel is further up towards the mountains away from the bay also. I suppose u can only be cautious but if someones going to kill us they could either do it here outside my door or in turkey. Same risk if u ask me with the way terrorism works, its by surprise and it causes shock and terror.

Tunisia closing down 80 mosques which don't respect the view and laws of the country.

We should do the same in Britain, in fact every nation should do it.

Horrible human beings stuck in the stone ages

Yep i aagree getting rid of mosques. Firm but fair. Bet a lot of them are being used in the wrong manner

Getting rid of mosques is bad idea it will only cause more segregation and hatred, their is nothing worth with mosques its place of worship and guidance we don't live in 1940 Nazi German here. What needs to be done is what morocco and many other Muslim country have implemented, a strategy aiming at inculcating to the new generations of Imams and preachers the values of moderate Islam.

Need to block every ISIS related website in order to stop people being brainwashed and radicalized.

The world needs to come together and stop training, arming and creating these terrorists groups to fight proxy wars it only comes back to bit you in ares. Al Qaeda created by the CIA to fight the soviets, arming radicals to fight Assad, Gaddafi etc..

Stop interfering/bombing country's for geopolitics reasons and creating failed states that are destabilized the region and security, ask yourself where was ISIS before the Iraq war?

USA & Co should go back and clean the mess they created if they really cared about Iraq, democracy, freedom blah blah and crush ISIS.
