bournemouth/poole getting lots of lightning, sky over there is constantly flashing. totally missed the IOW here.

If the lightening gets to lincolnshire i know my father will be ******** himself. He's very paranoid of lightening with due reason hes been within about 50 yards of three strikes in his time. (one myself)

The tree outside his house when he was a child living on the farm. Once in a field as a teenager when playin football and it hit an overhead transformer. Finally when it hit the old folks home opposite my old family home (which is the one i've been near)

What a load of rubbish that "realtime" map is. I'm in Rochester, Kent with my windows wide open and haven't heard or seen anything yet the map says there's lots all around!

Where abouts are you? Had a few flashes on the horizon and a couple of quiet rumbles alongside one-minute bouts of rain, but nothing serious yet.

Check the map matey thunderstorm is in Maidstone not Rochester. Zoom in

Balham, theres flashes every 15-20 seconds and torrential rain
